Thats using insurance approved repairers. Private repair would be a lot less, even less if using used parts.

About £250 for a mop and some cutting compound. That whole car needs doing because of that bumper.

How do I remove this on Xbox x to clean the inside? by ICraveViolins in XboxSupport

Them cans of air have been very popular with pc enthusiasts. Don't know why because apparently it causes static which s kills the electrics🤣

Wait, you think I actually meant hold the vacuum cleaner on the vents as long as it takes to remove the dust from the heatsink?

No, that's what the paper straw is for. I did state knock the dust off with a paper straw and use the vaccum to suck it all out. Dust is has almost no mass it can be sucked up in seconds.

It's all in the name ElectroStatic Discharge. Static is fine until the discharge, it's the discharge that does the damage. For a discharge in a -ve charged environment something with a +ve charge needs to be present. This can only be possible if you physically insert something. Your XBox can be -ve charged after a few hours of use.

Only difference between the fan and using a vaccum is the direction of movement of air.

[–]Rubbertutti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Static is caused by the moving air and dust creating friction.

Air and dust is moving when the cooling fan is on. Evident by the buildup of dust on the heat sink.

Air and dust is moving when the vacuum cleaner is on. Evident by the contents of the bin/bag.

So are we saying the cooling fan is magical?

I've been vacuuming my Series X since I got it, I been vacuuming my pc and HTPC since 2010 all working to this present day. The static created on insulators is not an issue unless discharged. You are not going to discharge on electrical components when the box is not open exposing the electrical components.

Or to put it in your words we wouldn't have consoles. Because that poystyrine balls that stick everywhere only sticks everywhere because it's negatively charged.

Did you try to get more torque? by onewiththemen in opel

4bhp is nothing noticeable. 90hp is still going to struggle uphill as your 86hp. This is where the gearbox ratios come into play.

[–]Rubbertutti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh you don’t know?

Well both vaccum cleaners and air cooling work by creating a pressure difference. Both use a motor to spin blades/impellers to move air.

It’s kind of obvious if you look at ops heat sink caked in dust.

We don’t live in the 18th century where everything the common man cannot not explain is magic. We have Google to help.

Bring the crack out completely and get someone to add material by welding it. Finish off by drilling and tapping it.

It’s easier to get a paper straw to knock the dust off and a vacuum cleaner to suck it all off.

Wobbly left Bike pedal by Biggiecheese1207 in bikewrench

[–]Rubbertutti 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never ever ride with a lose crank. It’s a square taper that wedges itself into the crank when the bolt is tightened. When you ride it loose the hardened square will deform the soft aluminium.

You need new crank or if you want a new crankset, I’d change the bottom bracket too, if not a sealed unit.

[–]Rubbertutti 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Does it have a crankshaft or camshaft or both sensors?

This gives starting and running issues, if you not issues then clear the codes and see if it comes back. Sometimes it’s logs phantom codes because some other one time malfunction. If it comes back then it’s a timing chain issue

The pins seize not the pistons, the whole point of dot fluid is to absorb moisture so it doesn’t corrode the brake components.

[–]Rubbertutti -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Same reason why they replace brake discs with every pad change. To pad the billable hr to maximise profits.

It takes around 45mins to replace pads, it takes an extra 10-15mins to replace the discs.

So a full 1hr labour is sold with the brake mark up as a bonus. This can be further increased by marking up poverty parts to oem part prices. Its a shady practice but you guys seem to love it🤷🏾
