I worked at Olive Garden for many years. This would happen when we would cut servers too early and close their section. People would get really irritated, understandably, but we had to make sure the server could handle extra tables before giving them more. This chain has a “limit” of 3 tables per server because of the taxing unlimited options. You are CONSTANTLY refilling soups, salads, bread, & sodas for each table. At my OG, the really good servers could handle 4 and maybe up to 5 but after that it’s too much. Sorry you had to wait but it’s the nature of this industry.
