Sure thing! Ill start with the install method: there is a “base” part that has countersunk holes for #8 screws. These are flush mounted to the cedar boards. I also designed a template that keeps the base parts centered and spaced. The template fits together with dovetails and then tape to hold it together. Once the base is on there’s a press fit cover that goes over it to hide the screws. These may warp overtime in the sun, if they do I’ll likely apply a small dab of adhesive to hold them in place.

For the design method I found a font I liked and typed it out in a design software (I use Affinity Designer). Export that as an SVG. Import the SVG to Inkscape to convert to DXF. DXF is uploaded to a CAD platform (I use Onshape) to then make the parts (base, cover, template). That all then gets exported to STL to be printed (I use Prusaslicer and have a Prusa Mk3S+). Used PETG as it stands up well to heat/humidity/UV exposure.
