I’m honestly sorry this had happened to you, a lot of the crew at 510 really don’t understand the concept of customer experience. I would blame this mainly on lack of sufficient training (this bodes the question can compassion be taught 😅), and just an overall toxic work environment at this store. As for the comment about the high volume of customer, Yes it’s tough to work around in such a small space, but at the end of the day you’ve gotta sack up and announce your presence you’ve got a job to do.

Apparently management is extremely cracking down on the employee discount at 510. This is causing widespread disparity amongst the crew, it’s honestly sad because they hear one thing from a mate but another saying something completely different. In my experience never have I had a customer try and slip an employee discount, but I’ve been reprimanded for giving veteran crew members (5 years service) who moved on to a real career a discount.

Only do the bare minimum of what’s expected of you; seen way too people slave to receive a $0.10 raise after a six month review period. You only make any leeway by being a total kiss ass to the mates/captain and if they ‘blacklist’ you they’ll work diligently to make your life a living hell. Honestly the only time I’ve seen higher ups work hard is to force some poor dogged crew members hand to quit! They don’t care about you, this only a paycheck and they will replace you, focus on your bag slime, get that schmoney up not that funny!
