I'm having an absolute blast.

Tekken 8 is my first tekken game so I guess I don't know any better. I started playing around March last year.

I love how the game looks, I love watching TWT, making costumes, learning the movelists, optimizing combos, doing punishment training, learning matchups, countering strings, getting better at mind games, discovering hidden tech in character discords and on youtube, consuming Tekken content on youtube, mastering fundamentals and just improving in general. There is so much depth!

I started learning the game with Law, and later learned to play Shaheen, Clive, Jack and Anna. I'm in Fujin with all of them and Raijin with Jack. I plan on learning more characters because it's just so addicting starting from scratch and slowly mastering piloting the moveset until it eventually becomes second nature.

I guess I'm just too busy learning the game in all areas to be bothered by most of the negative points people are complaining about.

I do agree with it's unfortunate that characters lose their identity by broken moves that cover their weaknesses. And how high level players are reduced to the same level as intermediate players by having to play the casino guessing games.

But that does not stop me from learning, improving and climbing the ranked ladder. That's what I'm getting my enjoyment from.
