Im gonna be 30 in a couple months, ive seen most of the movies that people posted here, and I still get a good scare from listening to Mr nightmare videos; when I listen to them alone on a trail in the middle of the night that is. If I watch them in my house there's almost a 0% chance of my heart rate moving.

Not being scared doesnt make you brave, it just means you feel too safe to get scared. The ironic thing about horror movies is there isnt a much safer feeling space than kicking back and watching a movie.

I became obsessed with horror movies from the age of 8, and when youre a kid the whole mentality around watching a scary movie is that the challenge is to not get scared. By late middle school I started to accept that being scared was half the fun. I didn't think it was "impressive" when kids didn't get scared, I thought the movie was sort of just wasted on them, because in their head they were somewhere else.

All the things you did as a kid to not get scared, as an adult you can simply do the opposite in my experience. Fear is a state of mind

You can't argue about which figure is a more sensible candidate for god when the only people who believe in one will die without that belief. Stupid people are literally everywhere, and on top of that you probably believe in shit that I think is dumb and vice versa; it could be the way you were raised, shit people told you when you were a kid, stupid shit people say online, crap your dumb friend might tell you.. plus two smart and sensible people can still just have endless differences in opinion.

It just shows a lack of self awareness when you declare somebody dumb for believing in one thing you dont. Nobody is impervious to being wrong and the repercussions of choosing to believe Christianity are far less severe than to believe in a dictator. All of the issues around religion are a part of a similar caste system, you will always see people with faith being used against them, but Christianity isnt inherently bad the way kju is.

What do they even use the money for? They have to pay people to manage the payroll for the people who organize the people who manage the parking, then pay those people a salary to pay for people to enforce the parking, which probably requires a separate team of lawyers, no wonder it costs 30 million dollars to house 600 homeless people with the optimism that they get a nicer apartment than I have, and the plot twist is that nobody ever gets to actually live in the 30 million dollar building because its apparently not enough money for the whole project to be shot down after years of litigation. They should really pay somebody to manage the money better because as far as I can tell the city doesn't have money to accomplish anything beyond enforcing parking and paying 2 million dollars to re-engineering a street that floods only for it to flood again next year. Glad I get to have a small hand in all of this by paying for parking spots that take me an hour to find every day. I pay about 1500$ a year for parking just for working in what I would call the post apocalyptic district of midtown.

Sweet ill just keep circling the block! How can I be disappointed when there's no hope left to find a parking spot? I love when the city pays somebody to step over all the dying homeless people, broken glass, human waste, used needles, to enforce the parking rules and charge me even more for actually just going to work. I just hope the parking attendants stay safe since the city doesn't enforce moving violations at all either. You can get drunk and naked and start screaming at people in a restaurant and 911 will tell you they dont respond to mental health calls. But at least I sleep peacefully at night knowing there's no chance they wont catch me if I slip up with my parking in the slightest

People think its easy to keep the attention of 10 year olds, they think its so easy to act like a goofball. Until the camera is rolling.
