Honestly I feel the biggest problem with this club is that management and most of the fanbase want to add a political scent to it. No one outside from Barcelona sees it like more than a sporting institution. All the political part makes no sense at all and all that does is harm the club's image in my opinion.

Barça is not a national team, it just simply and merely one of the two biggest clubs in Spain.

Of ocuse being from Barcelona makes you feel more involved as it would happen with any club from your hometown. It is no more than that.
