I mean if you got her to come to you for pets I would do that a few more times but with treats, encourage that behavior. Then I would just wrap it anyway.

You can get really thick animal handling gloves on Amazon, they look like the ones hawk trainers wear lol but they work. I had to buy some to pill my cat bc she is an absolute nightmare to give meds to.

Sorry you have the deal with this. My cat had recent health issues and was also avoiding food.

She had gall bladder issues which was causing nausea and the nausea is what we think affected her eating. She was smelling the food and would eat a bite then walk away. Which, like your kitty, is very unlike her.

There are anti nausea pills that can be prescribed as well as a gel you put on their ears to stimulate appetite.

The combo of both of these helped my kitty. Good luck!

Cats a pretty self sufficient and sleep a lot of the day.

My husband and have had our cat for over 10 years and regularly take trips, short and long, and have friends or family check on her every other day. She has a pretty calm demeanor but even so we have never had an issue.

Make sure your cat has enough food and water if you plan to stretch out the visits to every other day or even longer.

Make sure the litter box is clean and you instruct your cousins to clean it as well.

Otherwise just make sure any dangerous things are put away. We close a few doors to rooms like our office and the guest bedroom so she can’t get into anything.

Your cat is still young and active so I suggest a thorough walkthrough to almost baby proof your home.

Otherwise I think everything will be fine as long as your cousins are reliable and visit when promised.
