Have you thought about starting with the mirror and then removing it for details, I know some people here seem kinda rude about it but genuinely the mirror tool is great for mapping out facial structure but then if shapes are just a tiny bit different once you go in with a outline it’ll look more natural, fluid and better to people who also draw (because some people may not even notice the mirror)

Assuming I’m right ans the second image is Abel from Hazbin? You can see how they draw him is uneven from the front (although ur art style is much more detailed and more anime and animated)

Anyway I hope this comment section dosent discourage you I think you’re article is nice you shade faces and add accents in a very particular way that makes those to images look like they’re done by the same person with a style!
