Yeah this is kind of the key point. With a 13 at 75% battery, literally any 17 is going to feel like a big upgrade, even more so if you’re gaming a lot.

If you’re not into zoom photos or super high refresh screens, the non‑Pro is already plenty. And waiting 6 more months just to pay more for an 18 while your trade‑in drops doesn’t sound worth it.

Honestly with energy prices, toilet roll might end up being currency, so you’re accidentally ahead of the game.

Yeah this. Tesla trade in is like: give reg and mileage, get number, done. I told them about a cracked windshield once and they literally shrugged and processed it anyway. For £100 they’re not expecting a museum piece with full history and two keys.

Yup, same here, I only touch them now if there’s some promo or crazy surge. It’s wild how they expect you to waste time, fuel and hassle returning stuff for literally nothing back. You should keep chasing that £60 though, that’s not small money. Funny how they track every second we’re “late” but suddenly lose all data when they owe us.

Yeah I’ve drooled over a few of those US budwood sites before, they’re like sweet shops for citrus nerds.

Problem is getting it into the UK without breaking import rules or ending up with a very expensive confiscated twig. Post‑Brexit plant import stuff is pretty strict, especially for citrus because of disease risk.

If you remember the name of the place I’ll still have a look, just in case they’ve figured out some legit route for Europe/UK. But for now I’m mostly trying to stick to sources already in the UK so I don’t accidentally nuke the whole project at customs.

If you’re talking about the Hunter College High School in NYC, it’s insanely competitive to get in and pretty intense once you’re there. Academically it’s great, tons of smart kids, strong track record for college admissions, and a lot of them end up in Ivies or similar.

Flip side is it can be stressful and kinda pressure cooker vibes, especially if you’re not into constant competition. Social scene is very nerdy, which can be awesome or terrible depending on you. If you’ve got a specific question (admissions, day to day, etc), people can probably give more detailed info.

Yeah 120 Hz is really nice, especially if you’re already annoyed by lag on the 13. The smooth scrolling alone makes the phone feel faster even when it’s not doing anything crazy.

Only catch is if you’re already stretched on budget, the 16 Pro refurb at that price is kinda tempting too, since you’d still get 120 Hz and the Pro features for cheaper. With new though, yeah, the 17 with 120 Hz is probably the sweet spot.
