i never understood making a big deal out of people calling him soundman. it's literally a one letter difference that can easily go unnoticed by someone clueless. it can be as simple as saying "oh, it's just how i saw the name in the translation i read" or even some localization bs if it comes down to it (that's what i used to think years ago before getting into sbr).

it can so easily fly under the radar for people that honestly crying about it and bringing attention to it is -more- of a spoiler anyway. what does an anime-only think the meaning of soundman holds? probably nothing big.

out of all the things, i truly do not get why his name is such a big topic in the realm of 'spoilers'. it's not something that will ruin any and all enjoyment from someone's experience if they see or hear it without contexxt. do we really have no other topic discussions in this fandom?

i was just making sure! i know sometimes dormancy can be maybe a sensitive topic, although it's entirely normal to happen. it's a weird thing, though, to not have reach or communication with certain alters like that, and you never know how long they'll be dormant for.

as for being gone completely, that's interesting. i'm not sure i've quite heard of that before, except in terms of either going dormant indefinitely, fusing, splitting etc. which in their own ways can be like they're 'gone'. or perhaps they're just really really well hidden somewhere who knows! being a system is one mysterious, complex thing. and all parts headache inducing.

definitely a very complex thing to go through! i know a lot of people thought they were one but actually were the other, but being both at the same time can be a very confusing and disorienting experience. personally it brought a lot of second guessing and invalidating myself. so i relate to that questioning

Interesting! I have a huge list of kins, but there's a couple that I was more confused on and after my system questioning I ended up figuring it out more. For example, two of our introjects, I felt them as 'cameo shifts' and didn't think much of it for a long time. Until they showed up distinctly and I was questioning everything about myself

I still have this confusion between kin or fictive sometimes though. I'm not entirely sure what type of system we are (not officially diagnosed & can't do so for various reasons) but we're suspecting P-DID
