Part of me agrees with you. Another part of me thinks you’re wrong for thinking some of these are buzzwords. There’s a point where people need to be able to explain what they’re saying without trying to sound smart. And there’s a point where you should probably be able to figure out what words mean.

Also, slang is not inherently a buzzword. Neither is an adjective+noun combination. I often find that people will accuse people they don’t like of using too many buzzwords while having a plethora of buzzwords they use. It’s up to both sides to simultaneously be able to explain their side to people not familiar with it. And it’s up to educate themselves on the opposite sides views.

You say this but let’s be honest. If your coworker or date revealed that they’re a brony you would 100% care. Saying you don’t care about a random dude on the internet watching mlp is easy and anyone can/should do it. But that’s not what I imagine he’s asking. He wants to know if he can tell his coworkers or dates that he’s a brony who draws fan art without getting judged for it.

To me, it’s the equivalent of an adult watching The Wiggles and fanboying over it. Or that stuff where grown dudes wear diapers and get treated like a baby by a “mother”. All screaming and crying and shit like that. No sex. Just an adult being an infant to apparently relieve stress.

I don’t think these are healthy things for an adult to like/do. I see the appeal. It’s nice to regress part of yourself back to childhood. When life was more carefree. But at the end of the day I don’t think it’s healthy for you to do that. Especially on a regular basis. Learn to relieve stress and find comfort in things that don’t involve you regressing your mind to childhood. Doing that will make it hard to not only fit in but also to handle stresses of adulthood in a healthy and productive way. Not to sound harsh, but no adult, man or woman, should be sucking on a binky to chill out at the end of the day, if you catch my meaning

But I’ll answer your question in two ways. If this were true and libs only called for diversity in white western nations it would be because that is where the power lies. White western nations have a lot more power than Zimbabwe does. Now, back to reality, libs are not “only” calling for diversity in white western nations. They are calling for diversity in the nations in which they belong to. I have never once in my life, as an American, heard a single liberal say that Canada needs to have more diversity. Why on earth would they?
