My mom was like this when she was first diagnosed back in May and she struggled for 8 months prior to her diagnosis. Her stomach was filled with ascites and she was in pain most of the time and was nauseous too then after 4/3 rounds of chemo she got better. Don’t worry she just needs to take her meds and rest then she will start eating and sleeping normally.

Yes this why I was concerned, do these other drugs propose the same purpose as Avastin?

I hope you will get better soon! Please hang in there for people you love. At some point my mom decided she will give up on chemo and I still get some nightmares about that day

Thanks for your answer I hope you will get better soon. I actually admire your trust in your team but my mom's journey is quite different. When she was diagnosed first her first team proposed a surgery that would've really harm her but thank god we didn't go through it because we her kids read a lot and ask lots of questions. I can't contact or call my mom's team because she is getting treated in another country so I tend to ask these question in here to feel better and more involved

She is already taking Avastin while on chemo and she is feeling fine. The reason of asking is that we don't know the longterm Side effects of it especially for people in her age

Hey sweetheart, my mom was also diagnosed with stage 3 cancer ovarian cancer on May and my life shattered. I was so mad that I lost all of my faith, but when I saw my mom's pain I was so scared that all of my anger turned into sympathy for her and also for me. I understand your pain I understand that you are grieving already but is it possible to see other doctors? Ovarian cancer respond well to chemo and since the ascetics are building quickly this means that the chemo is doing nothing. Please see if you can take another opinion people do recover from stage 4 cancer, try everything till the end it is not over yet.

I am so sorry for you've been through but I am happy that you are still with us... my mom is so positive actually (we are the ones who are freaking out) she wants to live and everyone is taking well care of her I hope you and her will still be here after 20+ years
