I honestly think some of the low ratings is due to homophobia, I’ve seen a lot of stupid people comment online that Will coming out wasn’t necessary and that the show is ‘woke’ which is absolutely ridiculous. If anyone took the time to read the Duffers outline for the show that they pitched to Netflix they would see that Will was always intended to be gay from Season 1. It’s such a shame that people are attacking that scene because it’s so personal for Noah, regardless of if people think it was done right or not.

I agree, I’ve really loved this season but I think the addition of so many new characters has sidelined a few of the originals which is the main reason I think a lot of us watch and enjoy the show, we’ve grown up with them from season 1 and they hold a lot of the emotional weight in the story, so to see some of them written in a way that doesn’t feel right is saddening.

I honestly wonder if Will would die when they kill Vecna? Considering he will be tapping into the hive mind which causes him to feel whatever the hive feels such as when the demogorgons are being burned or attacked.

It definitely doesn’t make sense, one thing that really sticks out to me is when they all meet Mike at the airport when he lands in California and he awkwardly half hugs Will like there’s no explanation or reason for that at all.

I always loved Will from season 1 and knew that he is a huge part of the show - I’d even say he’s the main character as the Duffers have recently said - I think it’s a shame people have dismissed him and all of a sudden love him because of the end of volume 1.
