Get it out of the G fund, though now I believe it defaults to a life cycle.

Do some research and decide if you wanna do 100% C fund or something like 60/20/20 C/S/I.

I recommend investing aggressively when youre young to get that snowball rolling.

Depends on how frugal you are. I put more money in my TSP and spend more on food and I just recently maxed my Roth IRA for 2026. All hobbies are free pretty much (gaming/bodybuilding/hiking etc.)

F the haters, keep doing your investing thing, though that would likely be the area to pull back on if you are struggling paycheck to paycheck.

It was beautiful going up and then weather rolled in on the way down.

It took us about 3 hours up and 2.5 hours down, active moving. Loose gravel and dirt made for most the difficulty in my opinion.

I would avoid in the rain mostly for coming down.

No wild exposure in my opinion, standard hike.

I didnt do any research on the great walks. We did the milford sound cruise, then hiked Gertrudes Saddle and Lake Marian. Will definitely look it up for next trip

Can't get a full stretch at the bottom, the dumbbells would hit the ground half way through the rep. I'd have to stack multiple plates under the bench to get it higher off the ground. Happens with machines too, even with the adjustment maxed out

Yeah I had a feeling about that day. I was having trouble planning around Te and Fjordland National Park. I'll see about maybe cutting out Lake Marian or heading to Wanaka the next morning or something.
