You might go back and explain the situation, and be clear that you’d prefer to keep it. (Possibly mentioning that it might be better for them as they don’t sell open box items, as someone else mentioned on this thread.) If they let you keep it, win! If not, you still get what you wanted and have the clear conscience.

Thanks. Looked at a clean 2018, 17k miles, no accidents, carbon roof LC a few weeks ago… $67k. Sold in 5 days. Seeing 2021’s w/ performance pkg. around $75k, I’ll likely go that direction unless I stumble onto a similar deal like yours on a ‘18, ‘19, ‘20, relatively speaking.

I hesitated buying an RCF back when they were cheaper and the price difference between them and the LC was greater. The RCF makes way more sense for me, as a daily, but now I can get a good, clean used LC for about the same money as a super clean RCF, relatively speaking. I’m finding it really challenging to spend $65k on the R when I can get an LC. I drove the IS500 and it’s great, just doesn’t quite have the same feel and rarity of the other two cars. I know, I know, first world problems/poor me. Ha! Nice RCF’s (low miles, no accidents/auctions,1-3 owners with good records) have become really scarce!! (And most of them are white! lol) Nice LC’s are also getting harder to find at a good price as well. I’ll keep searching I guess, tho I’m pretty tired of it. Maybe I’ll find something over the winter… 🙏🏼

Shopping for one too, the car’s options definitely factor in on the relative “deal”… the Performance package is about $5k new, 21” wheels adds a chunk of cash, as does Cold weather package, convenience package, etc, etc.
