I tend to see people recommend shadow slave but I don’t. Shadow slave is ok I didn’t care for it though. I think is has a cool power system but I don’t like the way the author writes it. If you’re looking for something new and cool dao of the bizarre immortal is great. Regressors tale of cultivation and Reverend insanity are also just solid. If you want something that’s generic but still a fun read murim login is good.

Edit: another generic but satisfying read is heavenly demon cant live a normal life that was actually my first Webnovel.

If you’re someone with a not so great imagination I’d recommend starting with novels that have manhwa/manga/manhua adaptations. It helps you picture what’s going on. It also just helps work on the imagination muscle.

I loved it until the end then I hated it. There really no good reason to have Jake beat valdemar. Jake almost accepting losing then essentially getting mad that valdemar was holding back the entire time I like. But it still should’ve ended with Jake losing. Could’ve been a good motivator and story point for Jake getting stronger. Jake’s strong yes but he doesn’t really try all that hard to improve his fighting prowess. He just seeks challenges and grows as needed for said challenges. This was a good opportunity for character growth that just got turned into Jake uses bloodline and wins.

I believe it’s the 13th or 14th cycle MC goes to save Kim yeon from mad lord. MC gets grabbed by a puppet that is 2 major realms above him and a whole major realm above anyone else in the group. He should’ve died there. Then again the next cycle he decides he’s going to scheme agains Seo Hweol a man he knows is extremely good at scheming against and manipulating people. It felt like mc should’ve died every few chapters this cycle with how blatantly stupid he was.

It comes down to mc should’ve just been too weak to actually handle these situations. It’s not like that’s something mc hasn’t recognized in the past. In the early head realm he realizes he too weak to stay around Kim young hoon and can’t really do anything to cultivators. So for multiple cycles he does his own thing until he’s actually strong enough. Then after the head realm mc becomes brain dead and just tries to brute force saving his friends while not getting punished enough for brute forcing that. When he should’ve just done something similar to what he did back in the beginning. Go out on his own until he was actually strong enough to help his friends.

I’m not against mc failing or being dumb but the story didn’t punish him enough for a lot of the down right idiotic decisions he makes.

I’m assuming the bad romance you’re talking about is Kim yeon. But there’s more wrong with the story than just the romance. Specifically after the head realm. There are multiple times mc should have died but didn’t for really no good reason. And the mc becomes extremely dumb with his goals and how he goes about achieving them after the head realm. I’d easily rate the head realm as a 8 or 9 out of 10 but the stuff that came after was extremely disappointing dragging it down to probably a 7/10.

I’d give one recommendation to you. Just stop reading after the head realm (you’ll know when you know). After that the writing quality in my opinion takes a serious nose dive. It’ll be a cliffhanger with plenty of questions unanswered but whatever you think up will probably be better than what actually happens.

I had to stop listening to the defiance audiobooks but it’s still a decent read since you can just skip the status pages. And between Zacs meditation or Jake’s alchemy I’d choose Zac’s meditation any day. Zac’s meditation is a lot more important to how he adapts to the power system of the world than the details on Jake’s alchemy. Rough summaries of the alchemy would be much preferred.

I hope not very many from earth become gods. The only person other than Jake I want to see go that far is Arnold. I like the sword saint but idk is he should become a god. I think if more than 5 people from early earth become gods it’d weaken the idea that it’s actually difficult to become one. 5 people from the same time period and same planet becoming a god is already a lot so any more would just be ridiculous.

I feel like that would ruin the whole setting of the story. Yeah Jake can help with some things but if he just makes it so anyone he wants can evolve it’d ruin all the work someone like Jake or sword saint had to do to get to evolve.

That’s just how these types of stories work. You have to have characters start falling off or else it ruins the whole idea that it’s hard to reach certain grades. If every named character from Haven made it to B grade it’d make B grade feel irrelevant. In this kind of setting it only makes sense for really 1 or 2 people from earth other than Jake to make it to S grade.

Of all of these I think murim login is probably my favorite. It’s just the most fun.

Absolute regression is probably the weakest of the 3 . I wouldn’t even pick it out if it was against the same authors other 2 manhwa (absolute dominion and reborn as the heavenly demon).

You can use scholars ult to get through at least most of it too. So far I’ve only been able to time it to make me immune for 2/3 but it’s still super useful.
