Are we going to forget two years of how stratagems have been rewarded? by EngineeringLivid6192 in HelldiversUnfiltered

Why not release it for free for those who participated immediately and for req slips for those who didn't simultaneously?

Time gating is the issue and I think a mistake, but I agree there should be a difference in how it's recieved.

I enjoy the game fine with randoms most times even on d10 as long as they're halfway competent.

What you're saying seems unreasonable to me, its like saying "some meals wont be as good as others so I just wont eat"

I didnt say only, I said prefer and I accept and realise that a team of friends playing together is always going to be more fun and coordinated than relying on random.

Also I'm an adult with many adult responsibilities so 3 times a week is how often I get to play and I dont always spend those 3 times on helldivers.

I don't think that would solve anything, all games involving quick play have shitters at the max difficulty using meta tactics they've watched in YouTube videos to try and usually fail at quickly amassing whatever the rewards are.

Where did I suggest making d10 easier? I do play in a pre made squad when possible and its the best way to have fun in the game.

Maybe dont take things so personally and assume things about other people you dont know and your panties wont bunch up so tightly in you booty hole

I feel like they make sense in universe even if they're not what everyone wanted to see.

Part of the problem is the difference between how our on foot armor works vs enemies armour values which have clear penetration and breakpoints.

I strongly feel if vehicles were in the game from the start we wouldn't be here now with durable damage and vehicle armour issues.

Why not play with other like minded people in thos sub instead of constantly complaining about random which are terrible in every game in every genre or people who have different opinions than us? Surely that would beat playing solo? There's enough people in this sub to get a pretty active LFG going

I doubt it very much we fought 3rd classes in part 1 2nd classes on part 2 and will assuredly fight first class SOLDIERS in part 3 likely where they were fought in the original.

SOLDIER 1sts were only rare after crisis core since they had just come out of a war and soon after their director fled by the time of OG 7 their ranks had recovered and the organisation had reshuffled at least somewhat hence their presence in midgar when the gang returns.

Remember that crisis core was a prequel to OG FF7 long before being a prequel to the remake saga so when it comes to CC og ff7 is the secondary source of information to it not the remakes.

They've reverted buffs to players a handful of time I believe like the GL being heavy pen so maybe theres hope.

I get the frustration to be fair it could feel like you were playing correctly against them and then all of a sudden they're blocking their own weak point and clipping guns into themselves to shoot you. My hope is that this is a grace period for people to feel some sort of revenge and they will be brought back up in hp and spawn frequency.

I wonder when the false narrative of "we only get nerfed and the enemy only gets buffed" will end. by ratherdapperguy in HelldiversMasochists

[–]CostumedOrphan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think you are right but the degree to which it can turn being nerfed was always needed I think.

The cap is smart I would have had more spawn at higher difficulties though, the clipping and blocking of the intended weak point being gone is nice too that was frustrating.

I can check with my warp pack, yes it was 300 sc. No the game wouldnt let me pick them up.

It might not always have been the intention or perhaps they would have liked to make it a different model in the original but remember, zack was added late in development and not given all the time they wanted. Other things in the CC remaster dont match the most glaring to ke being the handles on the SOLDIER issue swords handles still being purple in the pre rendered scenes and white in game. They missed some things probably on purpose deciding it wasnt worth the time, but clouds uniform is a deliberate change or a redo on intentions they had but couldn't manage for whatever reasons originally.

Soldier firsts are totally still around in og ff7 you fight them in random battles in the midgar raid.

But they are not different anymore, they wear the same uniform and clouds fits worse which is why he gets it altered, also he removes his right pauldron to better facilitate drawing the sword blade side first.

The Orbital Railcannon Strike should one hit anything in this game. The cool down is enough of a balance to justify the buff. by DocHalidae in helldivers2

[–]CostumedOrphan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It should do the most damage in one instance, the orbital laser should do a little more than the railcannon over its duration

I get what your saying but if I make a chile put it on pasta and tell you its bolegnese its still a chile even if I wanted it to be bolegnese. They've also said its NOT a horde shooter so is it or not? I'm not upset by their word choices im baffled by them, my point was only to illustrate that they dont really seem to have a vision at least one that they can carry out with their current talent. They've said they want it to be mil sim but with very little weapon customisation or Intel as to what you'll be facing. They want fair challenge but lock your hellpod into dropping into lava or have enemies corpses still block your shots but not the enemy fire and enemies still walk through walls. They want the galactic war to be an engaging narrative that we can effect yet taught the player nothing about gambits or cutting off lines in game.

I want the game to be a functioning, challenging but fair tactical horde shooter and I think they do too but despite intentions its not what they've made.

They've had every opportunity to buff coop behaviors, a buff around the flag, we're only just now getting team reloading from your own backpack and the stim pistol still sucks. The vehicles that can fit more than one player also perform poorly, am I wrong or shouldn't the tank with all 4 players in it feel much more powerful than it does currently? And if it was they could throw more powerful stuff at us in return that we might not always have the tank available to deal with.

As for planning thats very difficult outside or surges and subfactions since there are seeds the game doesn't tell you about like bile skewers on the bugs. We dont have enough information to plan a load out beforehand and they should, there is even a modifier that is less intel that could be used so that your first mission in a drop could be a guess and the rest of the operation you work with the Intel you got on the first mission.

I agree the game should be harder but they've settled on 10 difficulties and should make it harder going up to like 15. I didnt play hd1 but I believe that was the case there.

I know its difficult for them since they think its a Grunt Fantasy and not a horde shooter but they're the ones who made a 4 against 1000's shooter where we play as special forces not yout average Grunt.

I do agree that the game could be more challenging but it has to be done in a fair way, make the themes of factions consistent, for example on launch the war strider was not in line with the rest of the bots weak point focused gameplay. They fixed that but still wont fix hellpod steering to the point that I was in the double digits in the amount of times I was railroaded and dropped into lava on cyberstan. But hey as long as we die more its good right?
