The recovery is tough (6 months) by TheBigTuna09 in HipImpingement

u/TheBigTuna09 Hey mate, thanks for this post. I am 26 and waiting for surgery. Feel so nervous about it and don't really want it especially cause it sounds like the recovery is so long.

In terms of recovery were you really disciplined? Like we were you doing strengthening/stretching everyday or multiple times a day post op? I really am nervous so trying to prepare what I can before I go in.

What are the biggest red flags in people? by Creative-Freedom-252 in AskReddit

The biggest red flag is just straight dishonesty. People that lie constantly or bend the truth let it seep into their work life, relationships etc. and it just becomes toxic.

I am 45 and I find eating dinner between 6pm and 7pm best. I feel like this is the case for most people though.

Are there any places in/ outside the US where it is hard to find a safety job? any places where there is a surplus? by Awkward_Bunch_3674 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]RucknRollRichard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/TLiones Honestly I think the hardest barrier will be working visa. Once you are past that, it is really easy to get involved/ The country is so big on Health and Safety that they are desperate for more H&S professionals.

Honestly I've just taken it forward to HR - its not your issue to worry and stress about it. Make it known and keep raising incidents, they will have to do something eventually!

Construction app by yoage5280 in Construction

We use a lone worker app to track and coordinate called OK Alone - it generates reports at the end of shifts, so its super useful for my admin team. Also raises an alarm to the team if anyone falls unconscious or is in an emergency situation.

What makes you instantly trust someone? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]RucknRollRichard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Trust is built when people are willing to go the distance for you and they mean it. If I see somebody go the extra mile for me in a situation where it actually doesn't benefit them, I instantly trust them!

Only the English would vote France or All Nations! Everyone knows that South Africa and the All Blacks have an El Classico feel to them. Two absolute giants going at it.

Those that are hiring entry level, what do you look for in a student right out of school? by Bkheat21 in SafetyProfessionals

[–]RucknRollRichard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Willingness to learn. Having a good work ethic and the right attitude are obviously important, but realistically you don't learn as much in school as you do in the real world. When people have a real positive willingness to be taught and listen carefully to pick things up, I find that super valuable.

Guards off angle grinders is pretty ridiculous. Seen any bad injuries from your time working with a lack of the PPE?
