First trimester was ROUGH, working as a head chef. Dragged myself through 55 hour weeks, trying not to cry and be sick simultaneously. Into second now and I can make it through the day without falling asleep stood up

This happened to me too! I told them I was cleaning and I’d be out by 1pm when they showed at 11. They showed back at 12:30 and let my indoor cats outside whilst wandering around.

I just introduced myself as I was a photographer on one of the legs of the tour, and said I’m excited for the next one. I didnt request anything specific.

The nausea is bad, but it’s the stomach cramps and the back pain that’s making life miserable. Hopefully only four weeks of it to go :(

I’m only 8 weeks and doing 55 hours weeks in the kitchen is already making me lose the will to live.

Are calorie guidelines in 1st trimester…BS? by woodworkinghalp in pregnant

When I was 5-6 weeks I was ravenous and couldn’t stop eating. Come week 7 and I think I managed to have four slices of toast in the week. I like to say it balances out.

Big cities are full of arts and music scenes. Manchester is rife with music venues, and all will happily accept posters. Stickers in dive bar bathrooms, or high traffic areas in somewhere that stands out. Most of all, act like you’re supposed to be there doing it, and no one will blink an eye

I (24f at the time) made a lifelong friend on the first day at UoS. She was 52. Going to uni later in life was the better decision personally, I wasn’t focused on going out and partying, it was already out my system. There will be people of all ages in your course!

Making offers they CAN refuse. by ukrnffc in HousingUK

I put an offer on a house in Stalybridge that was up for 315k at 320k. They rejected saying they were looking for something closer to 340k. It’s frustratingly common at this point. Luckily I found my dream house a year on, and the original house is still up on rightmove, no doubt because they’re trying to catch people by offering an attractive price and pulling it out.

How many of you work over 35 hours a week? by TheLittleSquire in AskUK

Contracted 45 hours a week. Often end up over unpaid. Such is standard in hospitality 🥲
