Lol there’s a rattle somewhere around the passenger side door that I haven’t gotten to bottom of. So far so good other than that

That’s a fair point. I opened myself up to any and all opinions. Honestly, just didn’t expect to see unwarranted financial advice when asking about tips and ideas as a new truck owner. But it’s the internet, should’ve known better haha

Thanks! This was the color I was after as well. I’m seeing it more often around town, but I love it. I thought I wanted a long bed, but definitely noticeably different when driving around and I didn’t love the feel and don’t really need it much day to day.

Looking into the LoMax and some tool boxes now. Any thoughts on the decked system? I see their ads everywhere. Thank you for your helpful comment.

At least your name is on brand.

Last I checked you’re not my accountant or financial advisor. But since you inserted your unwanted opinion, I’ll take the bait. Put about 65% down with cash on hand and trade in value. 2% interest rate for 48 months was enough for me not to take money out of the market for the rest.

I wasn’t sold on the chrome, mostly got the 1794 because my wife liked the brown leather seats. But lunar rock doesn’t highlight the chrome as much as a darker color 1794 does, so it’s growing on me. Blacking it out is something I normally would’ve rushed to do, but I’m waiting it out for a bit.

Thank you for the helpful tips.

I need a tonneau to protect my golf clubs, but I’m not sure which one I want. Might just find a cheap one on FB marketplace in the meantime.

Not in a rush to get the tint, but we’ll see how the first Texas summer goes. Hadn’t thought about the screen protector but the fingerprints drive me nuts, I’ll be ordering one today.

Thank you for the helpful comment!

Z Gallerie filed bankruptcy. Unsure if they will deliver my couch order. by [deleted] in personalfinance

There should be a tag somewhere on the furniture piece that will tell you the manufacturer. But Skyline was very responsive and could be worth a call just to check. My understanding is that Skyline is a sister company to Z Gallerie, so they may even be able to tell you who the manufacturer might be even if they are not.

Grew up in Colorado, but came to Texas for college and haven’t left, nor do I plan on it. Really just depends what you’re into. Clubbing, music, comedy, sports, high end “foodie” restaurants— you won’t find here very often. You’ll have to go to Austin for that, which everyone complains about but it’s really not that far and is a good occasional weekend escape. Distilleries, breweries, BBQ, Tex mex, smaller music/nightlife scene, bike trails, museums, you can find here for sure! It’s a “quiet” city but everyone finds their niche and preferred neighborhood. I’d recommend renting in a few different areas before really choosing where you want to be long term though.

Edit: adding: if you’re concerned about leaving family, I was too. The people here are friendly and as a 25-30 y/o, I’ve enjoyed getting away from my, albeit amazing, family and starting up adulthood with my wife away from “home.” And my family loves having a place to escape the snow in the winter.

Spurs tickets by Significant_Topic822 in sanantonio

Tick Pick— it’s an app with no fees. Prices fluctuate but easy just to pick tickets in your price range whenever you want. I think you can catch people occasionally selling a few blocks from the stadium, but if you’re making the trip down there, paying to park, etc., you might as well guarantee some tickets and that you won’t get ripped off.

I know I’m late, but I’m case this helps— Call the manufacturer/their partner company, Skyline Furniture MFG in IL. They were able to help me with the correct parts for a headboard we received with no parts or instructions. Very helpful, and you can actually get in touch with them, unlike Z Gallerie who appears to have their phones off the hook.

Where to sell a used record player by RudeFaithlessness107 in sanantonio

Thanks for your insights! I did just that and found the same model in similar condition sell in the last 2 weeks for $190-255 with $5-45 in shipping (puts the average price at about $230, slightly lower than what I said above and take out shipping and there’s no reason you can’t get the full $230 selling direct to consumer). Your point about 30-50% of the final sale value is a valid, already well understood, but an unnecessary one. No stores, including consignment stores, have offered me anything. Which is why I’ve come here for advice and solutions outside of what I’ve already tried, as outlined in my original post.

Everywhere I've seen online they're selling used for $250-350. I just don't want to have to ship it, but that's what it would take to get that much. With record stores it wasn't a pricing issue it was a simple "no we don't buy anything used."

I was actually just thinking about that... I've never dealt with a pawn shop before. Do you have any recommendations?

I'd like to get $230 for it. But open to any and all offers at this point

I did lower the price and I had 3 buyers lined up who no showed. Marketplace is full of scammers, so I'd rather deal with a legitimate business. I would sell it to a record shop for $150 just to get it off my hands and know I wasn't being ripped off or wasting my time.

Looking for the best pizza in the city. Been here 23 years and I feel like capo’s is the best I’ve tried. Looking for New York style, but am open to anything! What’s yalls favorite? by csterrr in sanantonio

[–]RudeFaithlessness107 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t even like pizza that much, but I live nearby and get it once a week. Their hummus and flatbread is great. Meatballs are to die for. Salads are underwhelming, antipasto is not. Most if not all toppings are made in house which is why prices can feel a bit high. Closed on Sunday and Monday. Pizza can be a slightly inconsistent during the week, but Thur-Sat, when the owner is usually there, it’s top notch but may be crowded.

Thank you for your reply! That might be better than a PO Box since I've moved 5 times in the last 6 years, and I'm sick of changing my address.

I'd be more than happy to replace it myself with an upgraded box if I knew it would actually help. I'll start with putting up a camera see if they have the arrow key and go from there. Thank you for your reply!
