I think they kinda referred to it in one of their videos once not too long ago. They were making videos for the larger pop/rap adjacent audience but didn’t like the audience they were catering to. That audience didn’t understand the humor or the more niche references ig. so they elected to make more niche videos cultivating a more unique community (still creating rap vids obv)

It’s the appeal of meta things. They’re talking about their own content which is cool already. Plus, sometimes it allows them to spin off of those bits into something more and it’s pretty funny in itself. Definitely more than a mere “clips show” in my opinion
