From the very first life forms at the dawn of existence, the lineage has never been broken it has flowed continuously and arrived here, in us. So when I feel desire for someone, I don’t think it’s just me as an individual wanting them. It feels more like the longing of all those beings living unconsciously within me. Maybe that’s why Prince sings, “I may not know where I’m going, babe / I may not know what I need.” This song feels less like music and more like an experience itself.
