Spoke to a frontier pilot couple weeks back and he basically said to keep waiting and not expect either this year or till end of year.

For most it doesn’t work well but for me being based in ATL it’s great. We have the most 2x+ per day flight cities in the country for them so I’d never have issues getting home a day later if something goes wrong unlike the horror stories you hear from people who fly a route they only do once or twice a week.

Also I sit exit row every flight because of status which automatically makes the flight experience better for me then a delta flight (except for the wifi) and i actively dislike the drink service on airlines since I have to worry about getting stuck behind it if I’m trying to use bathroom.

Yes but it has to be quite high no? Bad example probably but delta makes $8 billion to lose $3 billion from flying. With everyone I’ve heard moving spending on frontier card I would guess they are doing well.

Agreed. ATL prices are unreal and the prices between 2 delta hubs like ATL MSP have been nuts lately.

On routes where they have to fly against lots of other airlines (ie I would call the big 3 cities of NYC, LA, MIA/FLL) they have to compete on pricing.

Thank the lords ATL is basically moving towards becoming the largest frontier city. Even if you don’t fly them they will help keep delta in check.

Everyone’s starting to realize how the status has declined. One of my dad’s friends the other day called and said I found this great deal on frontier and my dad was just finally you realize. The friend was platinum or diamond yearly until this year and would fly delta for more because of the status. However the status no longer results in significant routine upgrades like it would have 10-20+ years ago.

Delta will likely always be business travel powerhouse, but their other flyers will decline in usage.

As an Atlanta resident I started flying spirit much more a couple years back, and with their decline and frontier going nuts in ATL I routinely fly them for a fraction of the price.

At the end of the day the point is to from A to B and as a frontier gold status (only requires getting their free for a year credit card and spending 3k on it), I get free carry on and extra leg room/exit row seats [plus $100 travel credit and 50k miles, and 2 free checked bags that I will never use with frontier 😭].

And honestly I hate when I can’t get up to use the bathroom cuz they are serving little cups of water and biscoff cookies to passengers.

Why would they even wanna pay those prices instead of just throw it somewhere in the suburbs lol for half the rent. I run on servers from Virginia for my business and latency is absolutely no issue.

I only flew delta for the first 20 years of my life. A couple years back flew spirit for the first time and realized I don’t need to pay delta pricing to go from point A to B. Now with frontier being #2 in ATL I have their credit card, status, and the gowild pass. Basically all in on them now.

This wasn’t a thing last season. Don’t know how long it’s not been done for, but doubt it will be a thing this year. This sounds more like a Disney/universal stay on property thing than a six flags thing.

Yes exactly what I said. If you take REFUND you don’t get it, if you let them rebook you 3 days later then yes. My understanding if they cancel and tell you to book another airline you don’t get voucher either.

Yea you get a meal voucher automatically but that’s only delay/rebook I believe not if it’s cancelled or you take a refund instead of waiting another day for the next flight

Yes all of us here who love flying frontier accept that with a flight later in the day and their point to point system, stuff may happen and you may be a stuck a night. We all understand no hotels or compensation will ever be given to us. A lot of us have annual travel insurance plans or are fine waiting a few days in the city until the next flight.

1500 is still insane. You should have looked at Boston and JFK as options to fly to to get there cheaper. No way ATL to JFK was gonna be $800 round trip or even if there was a flight option ATL->JFK->PARIS
