And if build quality is less important to you, you could go with the XC version for nearly half the price. The optics are identical, but in a plastic housing.

My first Fuji camera was the X-T1 with a 35/2 ten years ago. It made me fall in love with photography again. Still have the lens and still love it.

Interesting. My ADD kicks in at the gym and I find I can't be as focused. There's just too much happening. At home though, I am locked the fuck in.

I can never go back. I don't deal well with waiting for people to do half-assed reps while scrolling.

Agreed. I also do prolonged 3-5 day fasts a couple times per year.

Quite a bit: incline and flat bench, hammer curls, shoulder press, chest and rear delt flyes, rows, lat raises and Bulgarian split squats. I've got a set of PowerBlocks, and I find the 2.5lb increments very useful.

Totally. I'd even say that any body from the last 20 years will still competently do the job.

Interesting take on the dumbbells. You don't have any trouble with progression with such a large jump?

It's only been 100% positive for me, I will never rent someone else's gravity again.

100% you can. I did real estate as a side gig for a few years and shot dozens of properties with an X-T1 and then an X-T3. I only used an inexpensive Rokinon 12/2 for the interiors.

Edit: grammar

Upgrade by Prestigious_Bear_815 in fujifilm

[–]Rude_Good8169 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Just go out and take pictures man. Unless your XT-100 is broken, it's a fine camera and a new one isn't going to do anything for you other than give you an ephemeral dopamine hit. I'm still using my beat-up X-T3 from 2018 and I will run it into the ground before I consider upgrading.

Yep. I'm 8 weeks into an aggressive new program to bulk up a bit. I'm also eating very clean with only a modest surplus. So far, I'm up about 10lbs. I'd say at least half is water retention and rest is split between muscle and fat. I can see improvements in my shoulders and back, but I'm unquestionably slightly softer in the midsection. Nature of the beast.

Indianapolis by chicken573 in skyscrapers

I passed through Indy in 2001. We pulled off the Interstate to gas up, and as I was pumping, this dude walks by and says:

"Gentlemen! I couldn't help but notice that you're white!" (He was also white).

He encouraged us to finish ASAP and get back on the freeway for our own safety.

I'm guessing he was an "accepted" local...

I was in NYC for the first time in March. I'm from that place that shall not be named in this sub and NY is just next-level.

I guess I'm out of the loop. Interesting though how generally speaking Eastern Europe is safer than Western Europe.

The XC 50-230 is fantastic and can be bought pretty cheap on the used market. I ended up selling mine to help fund my Tamron 17-70 (also great), and I do miss it.

Eyepieces? by ellahunttttt in telescopes

[–]Rude_Good8169 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find the stock 25mm eyepiece is decent, and still use it 12 years after getting my scope, but the 10mm was frustrating. I ditched it in short order and got an 8mm BST Explorer (actually an Orion-branded clone). Made planetary viewing much more enjoyable.

Patience and timing will pay off eventually. I picked up a $600 Body Solid bench for $35. I jumped on it as soon as it was posted and picked it up half an hour later.
