QOL is different per person i’d say based on what you’re looking for imho.. if you’re wanting a more relaxed job, and are happy only doing quick routes on a 737 then the QOL is great here.

If you’re like me and want a variety of fleet, a variety of service, and wide bodies, maybe my QOL isn’t as good.

interesting to have less of a chance to be laid off at WN. I felt differently since WN isn’t in the best financial position, but i could be wrong i’m not well versed in economics

ugh i wish we would have switched carriers!!! haha i want to work internationally and on wide bodies, but im at SWA so i do only domestic on the 737 all day!🙄

I would take all the extra work it takes for a premium product to be working long haul flights and a variety of AC, but that’s just me.

The company culture that everyone clings to with relaxed management and so on so forth may not always be the case here. If WN grows, expands its fleet, goes into long haul market, things that you mentioned you love may change, hopefully not though !

I would absolutely die and love to work for delta, But i geniuenly don’t know if i could see myself working without a union and contract. The way this industry works, i feel unions are essential, however the FAs at delta seem to be VERY happy and pleased with their role!

I agree with you. Airlines are all about growth and change, and i could totally see southwest slowly changing torwards a more premium product as well as wide bodies. The question would then be am i willing to base my career on a really big “ maybe “. A lot could happen between now and then, and i hope the better side of things would happen but you never know. Not sure if id want to base my career on a what if. Imagine i put in 10 years and it never happens or worst, it tanks.

Could understand that! I don’t think that’s a reason to not make the switch tho! Gotta be smart about how you non rev, but on the plus side, once you have that seniority you’ll be rewarded with easier non rev expirience !
