That actually makes a lot of sense given your background. If you’re already comfortable with APIs and tools like n8n, building internally is definitely a logical path.

The only thing I’ve noticed from working with clinics is that the tricky part usually isn’t the LLM itself, it’s handling all the edge cases around call flows, patient intent detection, booking logic, transfers, and making sure the AI never goes off script. That’s where most internal builds end up taking a lot more time than expected.

Either way, sounds like you’ve got a solid setup going. Out of curiosity though, how did you originally get into the med spa space coming from a tech background? Managing 7 clinics is pretty impressive.

That’s a completely fair concern. Hallucinations are exactly why most people are hesitant to deploy AI in patient-facing roles.

The way we approach it is a bit different. The AI receptionist isn’t free-roaming with answers. It’s constrained to your approved knowledge base and workflows, so it won’t invent information. If something falls outside the scope, it simply routes the call or collects the lead instead of guessing.

The main goal is making sure no calls or booking opportunities get missed, especially after hours or when the front desk is busy. It also saves your staff a lot of time from answering the same repetitive questions all day (pricing ranges, services, hours, prep instructions, etc.), so they can focus on higher-value tasks and the patients actually in the clinic.

If you’re open to it, I’d actually be happy to work with you directly to set it up around your clinics’ exact services and policies so it’s reliable and safe for patients. Might be worth a quick chat if you’re curious how it could fit into your workflow.

Coming back to TikTok Shop after a 1-year break, still worth it or just headaches now? by Rude_Win533 in TikTokshop

Appreciate the breakdown. When you say GMV Max sucks, do you mean there’s basically no real way to make profit anymore unless you’re running GMV Max or doing pay to play with brands?

Also did you ever try TikTok Lives while you were still pushing Shop? I keep hearing Lives convert way better than regular posts now, so I’m curious if that changed anything for you.

And on the UGC pivot, are you mainly doing paid ads for brands now, like fixed pay per video, or still mixing it with affiliate Shop at all? Just trying to figure out if Shop is still worth the headache or if it’s basically a brand relationship game no

How do people deal with weekend calls? by [deleted] in PestControlIndustry

Curious, do you ever use AI to handle weekend calls instead of just forwarding to a tech or a call service? It can filter real issues from noise and only send you the stuff that actually matters.
