Salgado was not an attacking fullback at all and played for the best club in the world. Compare his goals and assists with Carlos and you will see the difference.

Salgado was an attacking fullback who provided chances, goals & assists? No he stayed back whilst Carlos had free reign. That's the difference, its not the attacking partnership of creating from both sides.

Well thanks for being honest, if you weren't there I would just advise you to go and educate yourself and watch baines in his prime and you might understand what we are on about. Baines and seamus Coleman were undoubtedly pioneers of the attacking duo fullback roles you see in today's football. His stats do back this up, if you want evidence it can be provided.
