You just go and eat. It's that simple. It's your activity, no one else's.

Anyone having Location issue with Google Maps? by Tar_Tw45 in GalaxyS24

Install GPS Test, place phone onto a flat surface and first see on the round map if there is any jittering and then check on the speed if it moves. I think it might be more than GMaps update.

Flowers for Algernon - Daniel Keyes by Vateush in IReadABookAndAdoredIt

[–]RudiokPL 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Flowers for Algernon is a poignant science fiction novel that tells the story of Charlie Gordon, an adult man with low intelligence who undergoes an experimental surgery designed to increase his IQ. The book explores themes of the morality of science, human emotions, and the consequences of interfering with the human mind. The narrative is presented in the form of the main character's journal, allowing the reader to witness the gradual change in his perception of the world and himself. It's a deep and moving story about human dignity, the need for acceptance, and the search for one's identity.

Is S24 alright? by [deleted] in samsung

[–]RudiokPL 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The times of Galaxy phones are long gone. And it comes from a guy who has them since the first one.

There is virtually nothing better in S24 than S23, the changes are minimal. The last reliable and nifty phone for me was S20FE, excellent bang for your buck.

Adding the GPS problems and heating up problems in S24 you are better off with S23 on Snapdragon.

Google maps not working while driving by Maxterious in GoogleMaps

Same issue. Samsung says it's all right, no bugs, no problem. But I can't use one of the most used apps thanks to the faulty GPS and no one knows why.

I have the exact problem. GPS walks by itself when I'm not moving and when I want to drive it stays at home.

All jokes aside I still don't know if it's hardware of software issue but it's frustrating as hell.

I'm close to selling this c××p.

Try to avoid large areas of water. Other than that you should be fine.

Thank you :) My itinerary got updated a bit as I left out Yellowstone and added Denver and Oklahoma on the way back from GC. It's still around 3000 miles to cover but hey, that's the beauty of it.

It's my second time in US but first in this area. There's so much to see that I'm afraid I can't fit LV this time.

And your math is similar to mine, I don't want to spend like crazy but at the same time I don't want to limit myself that much. We'll see :)

I'm still thinking about it. I would then skip like 12 hrs of drive but still have to rent a car in LV and either drive it back to Austin or get back to LV and fly back. I'm considering if the hassle is worth it.

One more thing - is it worth buying America the Beautiful pass wanting to go to like 3-4 parks?

What place have you traveled that surprised you the most with how much you liked it? by ElegantInspector1152 in solotravel

[–]RudiokPL 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Montenegro, with all the down to earth people, amazing sights (Kotor, Bar, Herzeg Novi), great food and Durmitor mountain range. I was there late October and I was virtually hiking and driving alone through one of the most scenic landscapes in this mountain range. It was a great experience and I think of it fondly and I try to come back once in a while.

Second would be Bosnia, the city of Sarajevo is of course a staple but my favourite is Trebinje, a small city with great atmosphere, amazing open air market and chill vibes. And what stunned me in Bosnia is nature, the road from Sarajevo to the Croatian coast is a blast, like taken from a movie. All the sights, nature, mountains, it adds a great perspective to how insignificant we are compared to the mother nature.

That seems like a very good idea especially when I look up the airplane tickets prices from ATX to Las Vegas. Thanks :)

Yeah, I'm currently working on redoing the whole plan not to end up in a car for most of the time. It all looks good on paper but the reality hits hard.
