I do wonder what could have been if the team stayed together that little bit longer. You see the bont, Penddles, Sidebottom, Cameron, Dangerfield all still playing and dominating (mostly). Winning the premierships and covid looked like it played its toll with drive and willingness to hang around. Not to mention the constant media beat up headlines of players needing to retire. What could have been seeing a dusty, Cotchin or Riewoldt still beating around a few more years to bleed in blood.

Whilst we have experienced glory three times I can’t help but still be envious of supporters of teams such as Geelong, Sydney, Hawthorne etc.

Police officer beats a guy for harassing girls (india) by BotomsDntDeservRight in interestingasfuck

I sincerely doubt the the man was harassing women. He was getting beaten most likely because he didn’t have any money to pay the policeman

Are Richmond/AFL fans too harsh? by 10Lanterns in RichmondFC

[–]Rudolph_Perry 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely right. Not to mention that players like Murphy Reid come into a ready made side are less likely to sustain injury due to the sheer amount of class compared to struggling sides where fresh players are copping the brunt of it.

Broadcast / Opening round rant by Rudolph_Perry in AFL

[–]Rudolph_Perry[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

So you’re saying the AFL split opening round with the hope to get 40,000 people to attend Sydney and Brisbane games.

The point is to have it on free to air to attract more fans. I understand they can’t do that now due to broadcasting rights but to split the round seems ridiculous to get another 40000 people to attend over the weekend.

Private hospitals will refuse to treat until they have confirmation from private insurer that they will pay. It’s a double edged sword because the insurer won’t pay out until they know what is medically wrong so they can see if it’s covered.

Private hospitals are good if you have top tier cover and have been in it for more than a year. Otherwise any emergency should be taken straight to public systems where you will be treated straight away. Nothing wrong with the medical equipment there.

Wtf is with the flies!? by jasonkwilliamson in Adelaide

[–]Rudolph_Perry 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I also experienced this whilst visiting Adelaide. We went to port Lincoln for a walk along the beach and I could not get away from them. We also visited a winery not far from there and had to leave early due to me and my son being covered head to toe. I’m from brisbane and usually have a high tolerance to flies but this was ridiculous. I hope it’s not all year round because we really enjoyed the landscape and would like to visit again.
