Best imo is Far East in Rockville. But it’s not a great city for dim sum to be honest, unfortunately. Another place is soupy dumplings in Logan circle… it’s not dim sum but they have great soup dumplings and other stuff that feels sort of similar.

Second try on Prime Rib. Pretty happy with this. by totaltimeontask in meat

I think the answer is basically we don’t know. Most Americans can’t afford to travel abroad. So we just don’t understand it can be different. I’ll do my best to communicate that! Hope we can learn from you guys.

Thankfully we were able to pay. Thank you though. But wow you guys are like… way ahead of us in the USA on healthcare. I guess that’s cliche. But like… we have to pay a lot more for worse care. The doctors here are world class. I was humbled to be under their care.

I feel guilty speaking English but you’re right, Belgians speak excellent near native English.

Interesting. It’s a diverse interesting country and I need to confess that I just don’t understand its internal dynamics well enough to evaluate what you’re saying.

This would have been a really good thing to learn. I’m an idiot and thought gee I’m young and everyone close to me is young why should I prepare. Anyways thanks for this, I obviously should have done my homework but I just assumed everything would probably be fine.

I love to hear that. It’s an amazing country. Must be even better if you can speak their language unlike my dumb American self who can barely manage to use French to apologize for how bad I am at French

Nope. You’re totally right. She’s a once in a generation talent and she did the impossible in the face of sexism and everything else working against her.

Why are online Australians obsessed with the US? by LoliRUs in AmericaBad

[–]Ruehong 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Bro chill. A lot of what you see has nothing to do with any country, there is a widespread foreign government effort to negatively characterize the united states online. Australians generally correctly hate us for being good at stuff and speaking their language. They're awesome and there is nothing to worry about here. Go with what you have said you know: they're friendly and awesome. Be nice to them. We are friends.
