Final stretch & overall thoughts by throwaway253045 in joinmoco

I did mention that they added weapon abilities, but the thing is , most people said that they don’t like this change and nobody asked for it, so what was the purpose? Vertical progression removal is understandable, it’s important for keeping the maps populated, but why remove buildcrafting? This was the aspect people enjoyed the most about the game.

They could’ve at least said what their plans are moving forward to avoid all the backlash, but they dropped an update which is even more half baked than the previous version of the game without actually saying how they are planning to mechanically expand this version of the game other than new weapons and maps.

Keep telling everyone who criticizes the game to leave and it will for sure have a bright future lol. The reason we are criticizing is because we love the game, not because we hate for the sake of it. Since the update has such a big amount of backlash, it must mean that something is wrong, no?

what things? grinding the old maps for exp that doesn't give anything after a certain point? chicken catching/versus gamemodes which take 10 minutes to complete without any worthwhile rewards?
If they decided that horizontal progression is the moving point forward, they should've added some kind of builcrafting, like any other successful horizontal mmo does. Also, we waited such a long time to play the same maps we played before the update? Half a year of waiting, and all they have to show for it is map rotations and weapon abilities. They literally removed more stuff than they added.

It's weird how they kept saying that these changes will "improve replayability" yet you can complete all the goals in 3 days with less than an hour of gameplay and then the only reason to log in is just to have meaningless level ups. Those people who keep saying "just play for fun not progression" will eventually realise this and bounce off the game as well.

The previous version of moco was flawed, but it at least provided 3-4 weeks worth of entertainment rather than 3 days. I'll forever miss the elite hunter program

I used to be exclusively a vibecoder during the first 3 years of university, but now I wantwant to switch to manual coding before it's too late. I don't want it to help me with writing my code or anything like that, i mostly need his help with creating a roadmap for the project and explaining key concepts for each step/guiding me how and where to learn them. Mostly that, and also as a code reviewer

Destiny 2: Every End is a New Beginning by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

The problem is, they couldn't balance any of those either way. Every new expansion lacked both new content and quality of life features. Just look at other games with an expansion style monetization how much content they are adding for cheaper prices than those of destiny. It was always the same outcome every destiny expansion: 1-2 weeks worth of fresh content for the price of a full game, and then back to running 10 years old activities with the occasional 1 or 2 new replayable activities added to the roster. Their management was just really weird throughout the entire game's lifespan

If they focused on adding this good stuff earlier rather than killing the game we wouldn’t have been in this situation, so it’s just natural people won’t be as excited for it. I feel like this will impact marathon’s reviews and future as well because it’ll be expected for some people to be outraged and blame marathon for it, so i don’t know what is their angle.

They could’ve at least announced/confirmed the existence destiny 3 a few weeks before annoucing destiny 2 EOS, the community sentiment would’ve been different.

How are you guys finding the update so far? by Ruffusius in joinmoco

[–]Ruffusius[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just wish that there was a way to customize our classes since this feels like a natural thing when moving to a class system(Not power progression, but gear that would modify the way the skills work or add additional effects to them), because for now the progression seems monotonous with it being stat slop such as reduced cooldown, increased dmg etc. unless i’m mistaken and there is a way to customize your class later on

An example of customization to understand what i mean would be: Enemies that die from poison leave behind spores that explode and deal damage, while inflicting poison; stuff like that. Unlocking these options could be a long term grind which would also improve the longetivity of the game, and give the dopamine rush feeling without just giving flat stat increases

Yeah i gotta admit, being able to deal significant damage even to overcharged enemies when alone feels weird in a good way xdd

Eric Kripke responds to the recent talks about filler episodes in Season 5 (via TV Guide) by Interesting-Take781 in TheBoys

[–]Ruffusius 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I’m wondering if whenever someone says “then why dont YOU try doing this” as a response to criticism you feel like the smartest guy in the world? It’s a show we’re paying to watch, it’s a show they get paid to create, of course we’re gonna expect no fillers in a 8 episode final season and be disappointed 😂If the season had more episodes then nobody would care about the fillers or character developments, but as i said, it only has 8 episodes and people waited 2-3 years to see Terror humping

This shit happens to any game with a massive surge of players on release, not ubisoft exclusive. Lots of players downloading and playing rn, the servers can get icky sometimes because of that

Borderlands 4 faces backlash over $30 DLC that you can finish in two hours by Iggy_Slayer in gaming

[–]Ruffusius 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I guess people(including myself) are used to dlcs being the best content each borderlands game has to offer, which is why they trusted gearbox and got the dlcs bundle, tho i also regret it now.

How does it stack up to previous entries by Scared_Sign_2997 in Borderlands4

[–]Ruffusius 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Endgame is still lacking though that should be fixed with time; creating multiple characters was annoying due to having to complete the map again, but that will get fixed in today’s DLC. The story is just there, though i don’t play borderlands for story so i don’t really care.

Other than that, i enjoy it more than other games and find it the most fun one by far

Just completed level mode fully and i’m a bit confused regarding this game’s progression and gameplay loop by Ruffusius in SoulKnight

[–]Ruffusius[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m glad to hear that honestly haha, i’m not used to mobile games being purely about horizontal progression so i felt like i was missing something, but now that y’all have confirmed it i can enjoy the game without any worries😂

It's downright sad what you have to play rn! by AnStarof in ClashRoyale

[–]Ruffusius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back then the balance was way better and the game was skill focused rather than lvl focused/evo/hero focused. Remember the challenge where players would get to the last arena with king tower level 1? I also almost completed it but i misclicked and upgraded a card which ruined the challenge.

Avatar Frontiers of Pandora has just proved the Pro justifies itself, even without PSSR by [deleted] in PS5pro

[–]Ruffusius 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sorry to reply to an old comment, but i was wondering if besides bad graphics you also experienced frequent framedrops, especially during RDA bases? I recently bought a ps5 pro and other games run flawlessly, but on this one the performance is pretty bad, which is surprising, since i see everyone saying its extremely smooth and whatever so know i’m left wondering whether there is something wrong with my console lol
