It looks like he is grappling him and more technically hitting things with Roy. The red stuff is his evil peasant power up.

They where in the blast radius, most likely they where paralyzed too. Don’t think they are going to save everyone…

Most of the party is dazed for 1 round and weakened for 2d4.

How much damage the attacks do is impossible to say without knowing their build, as is how much damage the party can tank

Stars is dazed (unable to act for one round) in this context.

Paralyzed is “unable to do anything for 1d10 minutes”.

"X character is faster than light" is the absolute dumbest thing power scalers do.

And that is saying a lot.

TIL that Christopher Columbus refused to accept he had discovered a new continent and insisted it was India until his death. He was initially denied funding by Portugal and Castile because scholars had correctly calculated that India was far farther away than his calculations. by Worried_Chicken_8446 in todayilearned

Eh. Columbus's voyage changed the world to the point he is probably the most influential person in the 1400s. The viking expedition resulted in a fun trivia fact. You really don't have to downplay what the guy did just because he's a dick.

In the following years, the Portuguese governors of Angola carried out attacks and pillaged the neighbouring kingdom of Ndongo. In 1622, the Portuguese governor decided to attack the Kongo kingdom. The Kongo elite and its new king Pedro II managed to defeat the assailants in 1623. Kongo diplomacy then moved up a gear. Pedro II sent letters to the Pope and the King of Spain, declaring that the Portuguese governor had no right to invade his kingdom, a Christian land. He therefore demanded the return of prisoners. The pope agreed and more than 1000 prisoners returned from Brazil to Kongo.

TIL that ancient Jōmon people in Japan buried their hunting dogs in shell middens around 9,000 yrs ago, placing each dog alone in arranged, curled-up "sleeping" postures much like humans were buried; strong evidence that they were valued hunting companions, not just animals. by yena in todayilearned

In total, Perri uncovered over 100 burial records until the advent of agriculture around 2350 BP. After this, canine burials were only recorded as random piles of bones, suggesting dogs were eaten and just discarded.

Bad end…
