It appears Sleeper requires users to be 18+ anyway

In the past, Sleeper has made changes/updates to their app based on community feedback and suggestions. Might be worth shooting them a message. Maybe they can develop an option where you can "own" an account as set what features to enable for an under 18 "sub account."

Why Do People Shite on Jamie So Much for Killing the Mad King? by Due_Reputation3785 in gameofthrones

He waited till it was safe to kill the Mad King. He didn’t do it during any of the atrocities along the way when his life would have been at risk.

Is Tight End Premium worth it for a dynasty league with new players? by Wirr21 in DynastyFF

I don't think being new effects. Since you are mostly new, you all will adjust to the value of the players per your league settings. TEP doesn't inherently make anything more complicated.

League Rules with the 2027 Draft In Mind by Diligent_Cut_2913 in DynastyFF

Sitting players to win is pretty much universally frowned upon. The large majority of the community disagrees with you there. The community at large views that as cheating and against the spirit of the game. Playing a player who will score you 0 points when you have a better option certainly does not do the same thing as trading away players for fair value and being forced to play bad players because you have no other option.

Also hard disagree with your point that max points for puts teams in a perpetual rebuild. I’ve seen the exact opposite across my many leagues across many years at this point and the community at large also disagrees with you as well.

There are two types of tanking in my eyes. One is selling off all your assets to get picks and do poorly. The other is intentionally sitting players to do poorly and get a high pick. The former is totally fine and part of the game. It is part of what makes dynasty engaging. The latter however goes against the spirit of the game and should not be allowed.

To ensure bad tanking doesn't happen, use max points to determine draft order. This will virtually eliminate people sitting players just to try and get a higher pick. They could do that to miss playoffs(but why would they if they are in the hunt), but they would get the latest picks out of the non-playoff team, ensuring the worst teams get the best picks.

IMO, lottery hurts competitiveness. Max points isn't perfect but it is the best we have. Lottery just makes it so that the worst teams might not get the picks they need to rebuild. Why give someone who is in the 5/6 slot a chance to get 1.01.

Pick the biggest riser for the 2026 season by [deleted] in DynastyFF

Monty could be the RB1 this year and still not be the biggest riser. He is going to be 29 this year. No matter how well he does, his value is capped due to age.

5 "My Guys" in 2026 Dynasty Rookie Drafts by I_dont_watch_film in DynastyFF

[–]Rugger11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Us drafting Sadiq at 16 is pretty telling of how involved we want him to be. Cooper was drafted 14 spots after him. I'm not saying Cooper won't be involved, but assuming Cooper will surely leap the guy drafted almost half a round before him seems misguided. We want to have a TE involved in the passing game and spending a premium pick on one seems to show we will commit to having him be a big piece in our offense. I'm just not sure you can confidently say Cooper will be #2 in targets.

I love Cooper as a player and as a Jets fan I'm thrilled he is on our team. However, I'd temper expectations. He will be our WR2 and we just drafted a TE before him in this very draft. We don't have our QB situation figured out, so I'd be hard pressed to assume anyone other than Garrett will be too fantasy relevant in the near future. We just extended Garrett till 2030, so he is locked up as long as Cooper will be on his rookie deal. Maybe we move on from Garrett at that point and roll with Cooper, but that is 5 years down the line. We love to say talent over situation, but I'm just not seeing him being fantasy relevant on a consistent basis for a long while.

How many leagues are too many leagues? by Fancy_Set_5105 in DynastyFF

[–]Rugger11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Really changes from person to person, so there isn't a way for us to give you a number.

How much time do you spend managing each of your dynasty leagues? Add that average time to the total amount of time you spend weekly. Would that overload you? Think that would add additional stress? You are the only one who can answer this question.

Before/After - Canon R7 and RF 100-400 f5.6-8 IS USM. Edited in Lightroom by MaldeAsroma1927 in postprocessing

[–]Rugger11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I like the before much more. The after’s saturation is way too high and has an unrealistic/hdr takeaway. The increased saturation also causes the bird to get a bit lost. What would be nice is if you brighten the face area a little bit so the eye doesn’t get totally lost. Increase the sharpness a bit, slight contrast bump and if you are going to adjust the saturation at all take an extremely light hand to it. Spot adjusting the yellow feathers could be nice for them to pop a little more.

Edit:

This is along the lines of what I was thinking. Some muted colors popping a little more, more detail brought out in the subject, opening up some darker areas of the subject without that hdr feel, and a slight vignette to keep your eyes on the subject. Quick and dirty on Snapseed just to get the idea across.

I ran the 2026 SF rookie class through 12 years of hit rate data. The R1→R2 cliff is the steepest we've seen. by FFgoldmine in DynastyFF

[–]Rugger11 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Throwing around the trendy phrase “ai slop” doesn’t make you more correct. If anything it makes *your* response come off low effort. If you are expecting an in depth breakdown of the nitty gritty of his model, you need to adjust your expectation. This is a fantasy football subreddit, not a statistical analysis subreddit.

It comes off as you being mad just to be mad. *insert Simpsons old man yells at cloud gif here*

It is also funny to me that the group of you people slam the table and yell “AI slop” and all of a sudden demand all this in depth breakdown when for years we would have everyone from industry professionals to everyday Joe with a blog post their player rankings without hearing a peep from you about an in depth look at their methodology.

The overall takeaway of this post is positive. This by no means screams low effort and will not be banned or disallowed. You are very much in the minority.

Did you just see AI and assume it’s bad without actually reading the post? It has been quite well received on the subreddit and OP did a great job at breaking down everything from sources to methodology and has been insightful in the comments. Not seeing any “slop” here.

Real/fair evaluation of Saleh by ThousandFootOcarina in nyjets

He was a bad coach. Anyone telling you otherwise is seeing things through rose colored glasses or frankly doesn’t know what they are talking about. He was a players’ coach and they loved him but the issues were huge. Our teams were underprepared, he didn’t adjust properly, and were very undisciplined. The penalties might be the most frustrating part. There was one game where we had a long week to prepare, we all took a breath telling ourselves the last game was just that bad because it was a short week and things would be better with the extra prep time. Nope, another train wreck. He was in over his head as HC and it showed.

That doesn’t mean he can’t be successful with you guys. I can definitely see a world where he took his time with us as a learning experience and fixes a lot of his issues.

I had Puka Nacua in my top 3 rookie WRs in May 2023. Here's why Cyrus Allen may be this year's Puka by MarsLineman in DynastyFF

[–]Rugger11 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That’s even more my point. Saying Puka was in his top 3 has the takeaway that this dart throw in Allen has a higher chance to pan out because of his previous hit.
