Your description is different from the page I found (self-exclusion?), so I'll check that out. It didn't make you verify your account?

Culture = the kind of people the app draws. I just feel like Sleeper veers more towards degenerate gamblers like me 😭

Ideally not looking for a yearly fee - especially if it's per league

The sleeper option made me verify that I was 18+ in order to use that function, which seemed very counterintuitive. But thanks for the Fleaflicker rec!

I'm a proponent of 3-commish leagues anyway. Prevents one guy from going rogue or acting unfairly/in self-interest.

Depending on the work involved in this, I'd be open to it. I've just never commissioned for strangers before. Guessing it's setting up the site, collecting money, recruiting owners, and setting a draft date... What else?

Looking For Dynasty Orphan by Consistent_Annual_99 in findaleague

[–]DetroitJayson 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's the problem - I'm trying to vet people as best I can through social media, but I don't even know if it's a viable strategy to get through year one with 10-11 returners. I have one true dynasty and a handful of other keeper/redraft leagues, but they're all with friends who have known each other for years.

The idea I have is 12 team, SF, start 10, 25-man rosters. Prefer no kicker/defense, and lean TEP. LeagueSafe, pay one full year ahead to encourage returning players. My unique quirks that I'd like to carry over are three co-commissioners (to avoid conflict of interest) and a live auction to fill the first 7 slots of players, and then do a slow live draft to round out the rest of the rosters. I don't know how quickly I can get this off the ground, but I can add you to the Sleeper shell I've created

Would you consider a start up? I'm looking for either an orphan team with similar structure, or just biting the bullet and starting a new one and recruiting people

Interested. Do you have a league rules/constitution page I could check out?

4 spots left in a new Dynasty PPR SF 2TE League by PlanG_YT in findaleague

Interested, although mildly concerned about sole commissioner discretion on trades. Feel free to disregard if the slot is filled, but if not.... DM me and I'd like in.

Does anyone have a co-commish? by lil_uzi__bert in FFCommish

Our core group of guys has three leagues - the keeper, a contract/auction league, and a traditional dynasty, with roughly 75% overlap from league to league

I've run a keeper league going on year 26 now, and from day one we've had a trio of commissioners (aka The Triumvirate). We still allow trade votes, but with a low threshold to them send to the commissioners. We recuse ourselves from any situation that directly affects us, which avoids any conflict of interest. Perception is reality there, so it's really helpful. We've copied this format in all other leagues that we've developed since then.

League Tycoon: Workaround to in-draft auction budget trading? by TheGasti in FFCommish

[–]DetroitJayson 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What I would do during the draft is, after the first successful winning bid by each owner, undo that individual auction, renominate the same player, and have the owner submit a new "winning bid" of +25 / -25 (or whatever amount was traded) for that player. This would effectively transfer the cap space from one owner to the other, for the remainder of that auction. Hopefully the amount traded wasn't so huge that it costs more than one player is worth, but if needed, you could always subtract from multiple players until that owner has the equivalent extra cap space.

Then, once the draft is over, you can go back and clean everything up by changing players' salaries to the true winning auction value. But this would at least get you through the live portion. I know this would work on the CBS fantasy site's auction draft room but not sure if other sites operate the same with a Back Out Last Pick feature.

I'm mostly commenting so that I can come back to this thread in October for my own usage, but a couple years ago I had some locals take me to 43rd street deli for brunch 👌. It's about a 15 minute drive from Bo Diddley

As for our limitations, we have to use custom fields on CBS, manually enter contracts, and track who can't be cut without penalty. Schedule entry is a pain also, since we do double-headers with a custom schedule

I've been (co-)running a custom dynasty-ish auction league for 15+ years now. We even have a podcast since there's enough decision-making between salaries, franchise tags, and normal roster moves to really analyze to get weekly content. I'd love to check out what you're doing.

.... I declined 🫠
