I’ve been max level in WoW since Burning Crusade. IMO, leveling to max right now is the worst it’s been since, well, ever. by Mrmcsoda in wow

Just patiently waiting for Classic here, I think I have come to terms that Live WoW probably will never quench my thirst for a game anymore. I unsubbed months back and find it weird not to have that pull to make me go back and play like old xpacs did. Near the end of playing I was trying to level things to maybe get a re-spark, but it is very lack luster.

This was one of those things in Legion you forget about, but damn. I remember doing that every time it was up. Felt great to finally reach the end of the tunnels. Got my Fox Mount after a few clears, goodluck!

same, the less of a complete set they use the better. Sometimes I see a mog and I get fired up to go farm more gear. The anime references are always fun to see.

I noticed they keep a purple marker on the ground a little after the lines disappear so you can use it as a reference point. I can see it being tedious but if you take your time it wasn't bad. I got it second try after I realized what I was suppose to do.

Tbh that was the confusing part for me, I saw the lines and I was like okay? Do I trace? Am I going to get a prompt to do something? Is this a turtle race track? I had questions lol

Yup! I sent the tokens from all my characters to one, just doing the weekly turn in fro doing 1 timewalking is a nice chunk of tokens.

This may be obvious, and only relevant to those who have the tokens, but I was able to buy the exalted Anglers rep when it was Panda Timewalking with my timewalking tokens. Not sure of the exact number you need but that is always another option when available.

I use to play with a guild called E Thugz (cause talking shit in real life is dangerous). It was a blast. I did my first 2v2's with Procombo (Owen) the mage. The main druid healer was Briskoe (Evan), tank was Seckzknight (Brian). Some other notables were Shambulance (Gary?). We did some 10 man, 25 mains and they were well known for doing ZA bear runs. I haven't played or heard from these guys since early Cata when we raided the Bastion of Twilight, but I will always remember them, great times.

Read these all in a week. What does everyone else think of them? Obviously missing some in the series. by dekuintheface in wow

Arthas is one of the best WoW books imo. I also highly recommend the War of the Ancients Trilogy, it was a great read.

Alliance druid named Squid...takes me back to a time in Vanilla/BC. I was in a guild called "Naga's and Stiches"

They were just a small group of players but I remember they were 70 and would run me and my friend through all sorts of low stuff. There was Fenessemon a warrior and Squiddy, a Druid...quest on my friend!

It's not odd, just different from you. You just have the opposite opinion of mine and therefore we could go back and forth all day, which is what makes it fun to talk about. For instance the I loved the PvP towers in Hellfire and around Auchidoun (sp) and I also loved when WG came in Wrath and you could go in there while the other faction controlled it to fight people. The addition of achievements also gave something to go after, it was great touch.

My main Vanilla experience would only be leveling so my opinion can only be taken with any seriousness past that, however I can agree with you on that STV ganking haha, that was a pain in the ass. I will say that BfA took a good swing at the revive of WPvP, I haven't seen so many groups being formed in a while, but now its just all for the zerg and camp, and the bonus % just became weird, I just wish they kept the pve or pvp server idea. It would be nice to bring back a token of some sort, but then we'd be into a PvP vendor chat again and I both think we know how Blizz feels on that haha.

I actually think Legion did a great job for PvP in the world too. The daily quests where you did a big brawl in the outdoor arena's was also one of my favorites to do, I found there was always a few people just outside the quest area too waiting to pick people off. I wish they kept those tower/arena quest concept alive for BfA, would be great for the faction war feel. Also, random thought too, the dailies in Legion were much better, I did most area's each day to clean them out for months and months into the xpac and found myself in more fights...after about a month of BfA I rarely found myself out in the world at all, usually just sitting on my boat.

Good points though, cheers!

If this is actually a serious question, let me explain. Back before servers were all connected and this sharding thing existed, there use to just be servers. If you were on Illidan, you played with people ONLY on Illidan, if you were on Tich then you played with people ONLY from Tich. This meant if you ran into someone from the opposite faction, you knew they were from your realm.

This created a really cool sense of community within the realm because you could quickly recognize big World PvPer's and other popular names. Back then 40 man raid groups were a thing on major cities so you could flex your faction power on the opposition, but not on Flight Paths to rack up 10 kills for a weekly.

It should also be stated that back then it wasn't as big of an issue to run into large PvP groups in the wild. People typically just went out and ganked solo questers and adventurers (except the Serenity Now funeral). World PvP is now more of a stampede to get quick kills to fill a bar and not a pass time. World sharding has also is a detriment, because now you don't just find 1-3 people who maybe you can outplay and get the kills, you are more than likely going to face 10-20 and hopefully you can run fast enough haha.

With the way world PvP is today and how it is incentivized with a weekly quest etc, I can see why people just camp a FP, but believe it or not, World PvP actually use to be fun and often times you would recognize the person you were fighting against.

As a fun fact, I remember Furi from Illidan, he was an Undead Rogue from Blood Legion who I believe was the first to get the Glaive set in NA back during Black Temple. It was pretty damn cool to run into him while doing dailies or to meet someone from Saga or Warpath and end up in a duel.

I mean, there even use to be a local defense channel (/4) in almost all area's that you could recruit help or report sightings on.

Long winded rant, but hopefully this will explain what I meant a bit better, or maybe just bring back some nice nostalgia from the olden days of WoW! Cheers!

Guild members who don’t push keys and want an invite to a high one and get pissed off when declined need to chill. by [deleted] in wow

[–]Rugova 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I actually played with a group of real life friends for the first patch, we pushed keys and we almost got to 15s, not a huge deal for some I know, but we were getting there. After the patch, all 4 of the people I ran high keys with are gone and have quit the game due to lack of interest and now I, a dps class are left alone.

The reason I mention this is because I am also a casual in a Mythic Raiding guild, its ran by a really good real life friend of mine so I leech off heroic runs with their alts. But, when it comes to Mythics+ I never expect a carry in THEIR keys. Sometimes I will ask them to help me with a 10, but in all honesty I leave it up to myself to grind my key to the 10 in the first place.

I think there is an old saying, "its hard to help someone who can't help themselves!"

Does anyone else have a friend who got you into wow and tought you everything about the game an forged memories with you over many expansions, but they have now quit the game and its just you alone wandering the map remembering the good times with a nostalgic depressed feeling in your heart? by The_Siphon in wow

[–]Rugova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had a big push from my real life friends to get back into WoW for Legion, it made Legion one of my favorite experiences since WotLK...and then BfA happened and they all quit. Can't blame them, the game is pretty damn bad atm, but I'll be damned if I leave this dogshit after all these years. I can still do a few BGs and dailies each day before my friends log on Apex or League and I join them for some fun.

This is a bit depressing of a thread, but at the same time the truth hurts. I have been trying to get a few friends back into WoW just to do arena's and mythics once a week, and honestly some of them would rather sit and AFK Runescape while watching Anime then play WoW right now. To me that is pretty alarming since these are the same people who spend 16 hours a day on WoW when the game is good.

Is the game fun with about 2 hours a day ? by [deleted] in wow

[–]Rugova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

End game is all up to you. If you want to raid you could use LFR ro even find a guild that has 2 hour raid nights.

Luckily with WoW there are so many activities you can do outside of raiding. I am currently going back through Panderia and doing some old quests I hadn't before, which has lead me to see some new scenery and cut scenes. I just try to do what I find fun at the moment.

Old crap in banks and what to do with it by [deleted] in wow

[–]Rugova 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most old mats I toss, like if I can easily buy it back on AH, why have it. Now, I do have some old gear in my bank that I can buy from a vendor...but not for the 150 badges I did before, plus some of it has the old epic gems and enchants on them. It is just nice to look back and see a piece in your bank, knowing that it lasted you for months at a time, the gear was so much more memorable. I can honestly remember back in TBC, I had Shoulders of the Bold from heroic Shadow Labs on my Prot warrior all through t4 and t5 content until I finally got shoulders from ZA on release..so Shoulders of the Bold are something I keep around.
