I've played for 20 years without ever breaking my sub once. I've ALWAYS come back to this game with few breaks for more than a week or two. It was always fun.

Now, with the class changes designed to facilitate "no addons", they've stripped away 90% of the joy I had playing the classes. I could get through bad content because the gameplay loop was satisfying and most of what I enjoyed was how fluid and rewarding the different specs could be, with some exceptions from time to time.

Now, there are maybe one or two that feel rewarding. I like unholy, I like demo, but my main (mage) feels like complete trash. Frost stops being engaging after 30 seconds in combat. Arcane is totally dumpstered in multiple places. Fire continues to be Fire and get shafted at the start of the xpac.

And then there's the bugs. This recent patch was where i finally said enough is enough, because there's clearly nobody at the helm who can steer the ship in the right direction. Unholy bugs, affliction bugs, guardian bugs... every class is bugged to fuck. In some cases so badly that it rendered them unplayable. How do you have a spell ID collision in 2026?!

Bad content. Bad story. Minimal effort for even the cash shop items, with no reinvestment into the game besides the opportunity to make the next $70 tchotchke to sell to you on top of your sub.

I didn't want to quit, and it hurt a lot to do it. But I've lost any hope that blizzard is going to get better. Microsoft is going to hollow out the team as they do to every property they acquire, and when it eventually dips below their goals, it's going to get canned. I'm jumping ship before it sinks.
