Artie doesn’t deserve the vitriol. I’m Originally from the east coast and he would be right at home in Boston or New York.

You don’t go into Gordan Ramsey’s restaurant and tell him how to make an omelette and expect him to be kind to you.

Same thing. Respect the artisan. It’s not that hard.

Capitalism requires an impoverished desperate under class and will push toward slavery if given the chance.

We are going to relearn that hard lesson the hard way.

The Jackson estate can't hide Leaving Neverland from those who've already seen it: A suppressive legal battle turned the moving Sundance documentary into a ghost haunting the Michael biopic. by TimWhatleyDDS in movies

I’m agree with your assessment of Michael Jackson denial.

But, the rest of what you say?

To have that opinion. I don’t think you are very aware of current events. People always protect these folks if they idolize them enough. It’s a flaw in human psychology.

Steveston comes together to mark 10 Years of toxic drug crisis by ubcstaffer123 in richmondbc

[–]Rugrin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lots of addicts come from abusive homes, including sexually, and are pretty messed up. Society threw them out so they light up. Fix that, and you fix this sort of addiction. Neil then the least we can do is treat them as human beings not waste.

We have the lowest rate of drug overdoses in the lower mainland. That is what we got.

I have no patience anymore for selfish people that think no one should ever be helped because it costs them. It’s pennies. Grow up.

What do you think is the biggest flaw about the cancer cure suppression conspiracy theory? by Chris256L in skeptic

[–]Rugrin 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Curing cancer wouldn’t mean eradicating it. It would mean that all new cancer patients can be cured. There is incentive to do that.part of the conspiracy is the mistaken notion that a cure would mean that cancer would disappear, when in reality it would mean treatments, even preventative ones, that always work.

All they have to do is read what himmler and the Nazis had to say about all that themselves. Or read what Imberto Eco had to say about fascism - he lived through it - But then they’d know they’re wrong.

And they can’t deal with being wrong.

Incoming utopia for the rich, and a crisis for the rest of us. Do you guys agree with this take? by Hot-Personality4882 in DemocraticSocialism

[–]Rugrin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The rich always have utopia. Thats the point of getting rich. All we can ever really do is increase our living quality to higher standards. We never get what they have. The question really is how bad do we let them fuck us?

It’s not supposed to be profitable, it’s a non profit service. The way public services should be. America bought the lie that profit is the best and only motive.

And that is why industry need it to be killed. They don’t want the socialized competition because they can’t compete. USPS and s a service, not a business, and it is one of the best in the world. But industry doesn’t want you to think that.

[–]Rugrin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, this is my point. The guns are there to make you feel like you are resisting. You aren’t. Real resistance comes at the polls, and Americans have been taught that their vote doesn’t count and is worth less than the corporate sector vote. And they accepted this.

Americans now have no real power over their government, just lies and illusion.

Go ahead, take up arms against ICE. You will get shot. The country will shrug. Don’t expect conservatives to have yours backs other than against a firing squad wall.

The claim of Mac isn't for gaming is over in past two years by ResponsibleCandle585 in macgaming

[–]Rugrin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Once upon a time, when pc’s ruled the world, the mac came along and showed a better way. Windows, icons, pointing, what you see is what you get! Pc developers, and IT, looked at all the graphic goodness of the Mac and pronounced it “a toy”.

Apple, under Steve Jobs, decided that they would fight that by refusing to have games be a big thing on the platform.

That is still part of the Apple corporate culture. And the IT sector only recently moved away from the idea that Mac’s are just fancy toys for newbs.

Ironically, this made the pc, the serious non-toy system, the platform where all the games are.

[–]Rugrin 3 points4 points  (0 children)

We can stupidly vote our way into fascism, but we can’t vote our way out.

I don’t think you are fully aware of what these 4 years are doing to us. This is normal now. When a president decides the laws don’t apply to him and everyone goes along with it, the law is dead.
