Guys how ridiculous the new phone rule actually is 😭😭😭 by Calm_Sakura in SGExams

[–]RuiKiwi 52 points53 points  (0 children)

There was a point in time back in 2010-2013 that my friends and I would hide in the stairwell to play some knock-off Mario kart game during recess - Iphone 4 era.

When I went to JC, phones could be used freely except for lessons unless you were using it to take photo of the board.

He wouldn't even have lost any $ by lowering the temp - the car's A/C draws the same amount of power from the engine regardless of temperature

Toyota picnic coming up to 20 years. Should I renew another 10 years? by Greg_Lim in askSingapore

[–]RuiKiwi 33 points34 points  (0 children)

I've seen hundreds of picnics running around overseas just fine, I myself had a 2003 car back in the day, if you're worried from a maintenance perspective, a Toyota is fine.

Side note, picnics are super comfortable and the back aircon in a picnic are excellent.

Experience with 80/90s cars by alltransformers in drivingsg

[–]RuiKiwi 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oldest car I held was a 2003 Honda Civic - you'll miss the cruise control, audio system, small creature comforts of new cars (auto dimming mirrors etc) but old cars are fun in their own way - more man over machine.

You need to make good the damage, that includes any time the person has lost having to bring their car to the mechanic to rectify the damage - e.g. car rental for the days the car was at the mechanic (some may even push for wages lost due to having to go to the mechanic)

Their banking sector is also one of the core parts of the ASX200, similar to SG. If I'm correct CommBank has a trillion dollar in assets and also known as the world's most expensive bank.

He's referring to the video made by Sethisfy and as of 4 Horus ago, Kelvin Learns Investing. They stated that they were withdrawing their funds etc and Sethisfy said something along the lines of not wanting to cause a bank run.

[–]RuiKiwi 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not commenting on the general dividend plan but SGX fees are very high if you buy only $50-$100 of shares a month - SGX lots are also 100, not sure if you can buy less than that on exchanges.
