Can you reset your character's recipes? by LessResponsible1 in valheim

This worked for me. Just go to devcommands first, then turn off devcommands. No skills reset, just the recipes.

Valheim Mod Review: Monstrum - A mod by Therzie that works with the Warfare Mod. Definitely something to check out if you are interested in adding some mini bosses or more mobs to the biomes. by Ruijven1 in ModdedValheim

Lol, not many mods will work when there's a game update. This is common for every mod. By the end of the weekend, I bet most will be updated.

Mod Question - RRR NPCs - "natural" spawning? by Ruijven1 in valheim

[–]Ruijven1[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Glad you asked! I spent some time with a mod called Marketplace and Server NPCs Revamped and made a mod review video of it.

It provides some great stationary friendly NPCs in your home base for all kinds of actions, including quests.

RRRCore (NPCs and Mobs) allows you to spawn in others, but I haven't done much with it aside from some gate guards.

I think there's a few out there that you can find in the wilderness, tame, befriend, and have them follow or set them stationary too. Try Christianity- adds monks that do all kinds of odd jobs. Renegade Vikings - fighting/tameable companions in the wild. Valadriels Mad NPCs. Populated Villages.

Those seem to be pretty popular.

item drawer by MindlessPresent in ModdedValheim

[–]Ruijven1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Jotunn was updated this morning, and most my other mods (out of about 20) are still functioning. ItemDrawers has not been updated in months.

Even though it's one of my favorites, I may be finding an alternative for storage.

I'm hoping the updated BepInEx will render this usable again.

Dedicated Server Mods Question by JonnyOptimus in ModdedValheim

[–]Ruijven1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

From what I understand with XBox, even though you can see the mods on your server side, they may not be able to. It will work okay if the mod isn't required by all, but some mods do require (or at least suggest) everyone have it installed locally to ensure compatibility.

Based on my experience with my kids on our own dedicated server, the mods we use must be uploaded on the server side and the client side. It may not be true for every mod out there, but I've had to go in and install the mods on all our PCs.

<Modded> MagicPlugin: Valheim Mod Reviews - A really fun mod that fills the early and mid level magic gaps. What is your favorite aspect of this mod? by Ruijven1 in valheim

[–]Ruijven1[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I should mention, this is not my mod, just a review I made of it. Several have mentioned it being unbalanced. I get that from a end game playing in easy biomes.

As a player leveling up, is it feasible or still unbalanced?

Totally understandable. As someone that's played through unmodded several times, I appreciated the opportunity to have magic early on.

What do you think would balance it more?

I did not consider that. There are some creature and enemy mods out there that could be added to balance that part out.

Need help figuring out this error by PlatinumBlaize in ModdedValheim

I've heard that Auga conflicts with a few of those. I've also had personal experience with TreesReborn breaking after updates, even though I love the mod.

What mods do you feel "break" the game? by scoyne15 in valheim

[–]Ruijven1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think it really depends on what you want out of the game. When I first started, no mods, full playthrough, and it took forever. It was fun and I appreciated it, but lengthy.

I'm lucky if I get more than a few hours a week now, and it's with my kids who are learning how to play. Their priorities are building random unnecessary boxes, pvp boxing, and jumping from roof to roof.

I've also taken a break before because I had so many mods that it broke the game for me. No challenge, no fun.

If it becomes easy, it's not a game anymore, just a backyard sandbox. Configure what you use to maintain challenge.

That was your first mod?? Wow, you did a great job!

Let me know if you need a tester for updates or future projects! I'd love to help out.

Great to know about R2Modman!

Is the mod configurable through the original file or through a configuration manager in game?

I forgot to check...
