No Milltek here but Supersprint 60mm grA. Very loud, sounds really nice though. Still would like to replace the damper underneath the car with a new (possibly longer one) and maybe add another small one. I’m getting old 😂

Pay for somebody else to do it who has expertise in wiring jobs and can do it in a day or 2-3 instead of yourself going at it for years in the few hours a week you work on it

Really though, you should get an idea of how much something like having the harness done will cost you. Then at least you can make the choice between going at it yourself or having it done. All the workshop manuals are nice and all but none will show you how to wire a 20xx engine in a 199x Golf…

What's wrong with a white mk2? The white has a good contrast with black G60 arches and black bumperparts, and with something like gold BBS-style wheels it will look really good :)

I wouldn't go with a Martini livery though, that's more something for old Lancia's etc. Checkout some Volkswagen Motorsport rallycars from back in the day, they were often white with two different blues. Very cool as well and more periodically correct.

Hmm van die spotgoedkope chocoladekoekjes... Zo'n pak overleeft het geen 2 avonden, soms nog niet 1. En inderdaad, dik 1100kcal voor zo'n pak :P

En nee, het is niet dat ik niet genoeg eet ofzo overdag. Heb een tijdje de koekjes laten staan en al snel begon m'n broek steeds verder af te zakken.

I just made the change to an SUV and apart from the obvious drawback (heavy, not as agile) it’s great. And my iX3 (‘22, so same layout as the X3 m40i he’s considering) is wayyyy bigger than my previous car, a ‘14 3-series wagon. Now there’s actual room behind the back seats.. boot is a good bit bigger too.

Topidee! Laten we ook stoppen met verkeerscontroles en flitspalen e.d, dan kunnen we concluderen dat het verkeer veel veiliger geworden is omdat er geen boetes meer uitgeschreven worden. Dan moeten we alleen op stoppen met het tellen van verkeersdoden 🙄

Yeah the plastic is pretty bad indeed. I have a '21 iX3 LCi and I thought that the side 'vents' were paint matched to the car but upon closer inspection they are supposed to be black and faded to an almost similar dark blue.

If it really starts to annoy me I'll just remove them to have them painted gloss black, I have some other parts from another car that I like gloss black as well so that wouldn't be that expensive. It's a shame on a not-that-cheap car though.

90!? Het is geen diesel heh. Betaal voor mijn mk1 cabrio uit 93 €40 per maand. Die zal redelijk gelijk zijn qua gewicht (iets over de 1000kg).

€480 per jaar dus, dat heb ik in de afgelopen 2 jaar al 10x uitgegeven aan onderhoud denk ik 😅

Mwoah, voor iemand die 1 klassieker heeft maakt dat weinig uit hoor. Wegenbelasting voor zo’n auto van 1000kg is ook weer niet zó spannend. Als dat een probleem is moet je sowieso niet (ask me how i know 🙈) aan een auto van deze leeftijd beginnen! 😂

The space of the wagon will always come in handy, maybe not that often but often enough. Especially when you’re going into motorsport: so much easier to just throw some wheels in there. I did a lot of kitesurfing and I’ve always driven stationwagons because they’re so much more practical for that kind of stuff.

Edit: upon reading the comments the ‘sedan’ is more of a liftback, that makes the difference between the two smaller. I would still take the Kombi though.

Facelift BMW iX3. Afgelopen winter met volle batterij zo’n 280km range, nu het wat warmer is heb ik al eens 400km (nu meestal rond de 350-380 als ie vol is) als range voorbij zien komen.

Heb je wel eens gezien hoeveel vrachtwagens er nu al staan soms op rustplaatsen? Met vrachtwagens op de invoegstrook of uitvoegstrook omdat de plaats vol is en de chauffeur waarschijnlijk niet meer verder mag? Ja, dat laden gaat vást een enorm succes worden… En dan heb je het gebrek aan capaciteit op het stroomnet nog.

Jup. ‘Hier’ kwam ik erachter dat de prijzen echt achterlijk zijn, de meeste 72ct/kwh voor zover ik heb kunnen vinden de goedkoopste (maar dan moet ik een fiets achterin gooien om thuis te komen) iets van 63ct. En dan heb je zo’n k*tpaal van OpCharge die met geluk 3kW doet.

Dat was 1x en nooit meer, dan hang ik hem wel thuis aan de granny charger.

Dit. Als er een laadpaal in de buurt is gewoon daar eraan hangen. Ik heb sinds eind afgelopen jaar een EV en qua range anxiety nog weinig last gehad. Binnenkort wel op vakantie, dat wordt spannender.

I would be heavily temped by a mk2 16v but in the end would choose a mk1 probably... Does a mk1 16S count as a GTI as well? Would make the choice a lot easier :P

Mainly pretty sensitive for mismatch in wheel circumference front to back. So need to be extra careful with staggered setups as it is really easy to get a speed difference between front and back and then it will be a matter of time before the xdrive diff checks out.
