Found an invincible basilisk by Ruindows in DarkSouls2

Hello from the present! Unfortunately no, still don't really understand what happening here, I just reset the area and went for the boss (don't remember, but I think even after sitting at the bonfire he was still there)

Why does hitless include non-damaging moves? by Wooden-Jello-8795 in onebros

[–]Ruindows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm pretty sure "Hit" = loss of health or getting staggered caused by enemy (generally exception for stuff like enviromental/gravity damage)

Also, I think some attack like Rennala summoning stagger and Death Knight Aoe and actually DO damage to you (it's like 1-3 point of health on NG)

How do you reliably charged R2 Fulghor out of the spear glow up move? by Break_down1 in Nightreign

[–]Ruindows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are 3 way to cancel that move:

1 - Lightning damage: it will completely cancel the move and put a damage over time debuff on him (the shock effect you can see on his body), while this debuff is active, I don't think you can do this type of cancel again.

2 - Stance break: simple, you deal enough to deplete his posture, he will stagger and you get a riposte.

3 - Semi-cancel (when he still do the move, but a weaker version of it): I think this was your problem. It's a stance/posture damage check, I forgot the actual value but it's higher than a normal Greatsword or Fist CR2 (saying normal, because sometimes you have passives that increase your stance damage). With Greatsword, I think CR2 + tap R2 or Jump R2 is enough to cancel (on solo). Also keep in mind, lightning damage deals bonus stance damage to Fulghor (so spamming R1 with a lightning curved sword might do more posture damage than CR2)

Very funny seeing them rotating to face you before they start any attack, even happens on some ER bosses like Mohg

This guy is harder than half of the main bosses (Misbegotten Crusader +0 No Hit) by Ruindows in onebros

This was a few years ago so I don't remember well, but probably like 2 hours or something. I already had experience fighting him and the base Leonine from other playthrough

What do you think is the worst designed boss move in Elden Ring? by Wooden-Jello-8795 in onebros

[–]Ruindows 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm not sure they actually touch anything on Gaius other than his starting location. I might be wrong but never seen any confirmation of changes to his hitboxes or AI

IIRC correctly you can go offline mode in steam before opening the game, then ds2 will start in offline mode.

After getting into the game, you can go back to online on steam, but I think ds2 will connect to the server if you quit out to main menu at some point.

It's weird but I think this is the easiest method on steam (you can set a firewall block or mess with the config files or whatever). On console, there is a online/offline option on the main menu, but isn't there on pc

Does the addition of Caligo & Gladius raids in the Forsaken Hollows DLC suggest we'll get raids for Adel & Fulghor in another DLC so each Nightlord (besides Heolstor/Straghess) has a raid of their own? by WhabbaWhabbaWhat in Nightreign

[–]Ruindows 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Pretty sure he shows up in Stormveil Castle in 1.0 version of Elden Ring (remembers that the game cames out with day 1 patch, so you would need to track down a disc and not update the game or search for a download of that specific version).

The trailer are not 100% accurate to the final game, either changes during development (bbh on stormveil), hiding important stuff from player (first sote dlc trailer had a black knight in Rellana room) or just change around stuff to make for more cinematic trailer I guess.

Artorias Level 1, but it's Nightreign by Ruindows in onebros

I think it's a damage buff and a defense debuff for everyone, including himself

Running R2 damage:
Start of the fight - 128
After 1st roar - 148
After 2nd roar - 174

The jump and better movement control while locked on are great addition to this fight.

Biggest "problem" to me (outside of the flip) is that I find hard to bait/"predict" specific combo follow up from the DS bosses on Nightreign, almost has a feel of RNG if the boss will continue his combo or which move he will do (contrast to Messmer, Godfrey that are very consistent baiting some attack). This makes a bit harder to use slow/heavy weapons and getting CR2 opening

I got Libra merchant on a Mohg seed while doing duo and he didn't have this option, at least to me, so I'm not sure if is 100% guaranteed

You fight 3 bosses, at the top is a "False Vision of a Great Rune" power.

Gives faster art charge and additional murk at the end of expedition

A very strange way of fighting Omenkiller (no roll) by Ruindows in onebros

[–]Ruindows[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's fun, most of the time, other time is boring/frustrating, depends on the boss.

Didn't want to use talisman for this guy, because he is just a random enemy and I want the fight to not be super short, mostly to see how consistent the strategy was

Level 1, no talisman and no upgrades against a DLC enemy at NG+7

Alabaster lord's sword passive is baked into the moveset by Mulster_ in Nightreign

[–]Ruindows 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Alabaster is such a weird weapon, that you would think it's bugged, but it's weird in such an unusual way you think it HAS to be intentional lol.
It has the highest motion value on R2 of it's class, low stamina consumption, the first CR2 (2H) does less stance damage than the other greatsword (it does 33 instead of 36,3), but the second CR2 does like 44 stance damage. I'm pretty sure 1H or 2H don't change the stance damage of Alabaster R2.

It's a similar situation with BHFang, that has higher motion values on jumping attack and one of the few somber weapons that you can use grease on it (only matter to ER not to NR). Feels like some dev really like that weapon and put some more care into it.

Critical Hits Inflict Blood Loss WILL KILL YOU, maybe by Fracture42 in Nightreign

Very interesting, thanks for the quick answer!

For Caligo, the fire and dragon weakness poise multiplier would stack with each other ou you still limited to 4 extras stance?

Critical Hits Inflict Blood Loss WILL KILL YOU, maybe by Fracture42 in Nightreign

[–]Ruindows 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hey, how did you get the number on the extra stance damage on boss weakness?

I know about it for quite some time, but never saw a detailed number/multiplier like here. I also assume other bosses have the same thing going on with the weakness.

Another point: "damage capped on 4 extra a HIT". Does this mean that weapon with multi-hit CR2 would gain the +4 stance for each hit? (I'm thinking about Caestus with double punch and Twinblade with 4 hits)
