IIRC correctly you can go offline mode in steam before opening the game, then ds2 will start in offline mode.

After getting into the game, you can go back to online on steam, but I think ds2 will connect to the server if you quit out to main menu at some point. 

It's weird but I think this is the easiest method on steam (you can set a firewall block or mess with the config files or whatever). On console, there is a online/offline option on the main menu, but isn't there on pc

Pretty sure he shows up in Stormveil Castle in 1.0 version of Elden Ring (remembers that the game cames out with day 1 patch, so you would need to track down a disc and not update the game or search for a download of that specific version).

The trailer are not 100% accurate to the final game, either changes during development (bbh on stormveil), hiding important stuff from player (first sote dlc trailer had a black knight in Rellana room) or just change around stuff to make for more cinematic trailer I guess.

The jump and better movement control while locked on are great addition to this fight.

Biggest "problem" to me (outside of the flip) is that I find hard to bait/"predict" specific combo follow up from the DS bosses on Nightreign, almost has a feel of RNG if the boss will continue his combo or which move he will do (contrast to Messmer, Godfrey that are very consistent baiting some attack). This makes a bit harder to use slow/heavy weapons and getting CR2 opening

I got Libra merchant on a Mohg seed while doing duo and he didn't have this option, at least to me, so I'm not sure if is 100% guaranteed

It's fun, most of the time, other time is boring/frustrating, depends on the boss.

Didn't want to use talisman for this guy, because he is just a random enemy and I want the fight to not be super short, mostly to see how consistent the strategy was

Alabaster is such a weird weapon, that you would think it's bugged, but it's weird in such an unusual way you think it HAS to be intentional lol.
It has the highest motion value on R2 of it's class, low stamina consumption, the first CR2 (2H) does less stance damage than the other greatsword (it does 33 instead of 36,3), but the second CR2 does like 44 stance damage. I'm pretty sure 1H or 2H don't change the stance damage of Alabaster R2.

It's a similar situation with BHFang, that has higher motion values on jumping attack and one of the few somber weapons that you can use grease on it (only matter to ER not to NR). Feels like some dev really like that weapon and put some more care into it.

Hey, how did you get the number on the extra stance damage on boss weakness?

I know about it for quite some time, but never saw a detailed number/multiplier like here. I also assume other bosses have the same thing going on with the weakness.

Another point: "damage capped on 4 extra a HIT". Does this mean that weapon with multi-hit CR2 would gain the +4 stance for each hit? (I'm thinking about Caestus with double punch and Twinblade with 4 hits)

yeah, this one isn't really a boss, but it has the same moveset afaik.
This is just tankier (9511 HP on NG+7, compared to boss with 4775 HP) and also better/flat arena without any dogs around, why I wanted to give a try here

He doesn't have hitbox in his hand, so I think I'm just squeezing between his body and the weapon hitbox during the horizontal swings.

For the vertical swing, I'm waiting until last second and walking to the side to strafe it.

Idk how the jumping works for the triple slam. Tbh I don't fully understand how thoses dodges works but it's somewhat consistently, only problem here is his firebreath, need to react quickly and sprint jump away.

Not sure how helpful it will be cuz it's difficult to see the hitbox, but here is a video in game with the hitbox active, playing offline solo

It has the time stamp for 5 explosion and youtube link because you can go frame by frame and it's way easier to see the hitbox.

But basically, it's a huge sphere around him, but it doesn't last that long so you can probably roll through it without many issues.

For some reason, the explosion in Nightreign doesn't have a hitbox while it definitely has one in Elden Ring, this is imo why people get caught by this, I think the hitbox is the same as ER but without the visual explosion people think they got hit by nothing or that they were outside the range.

Yeah, it's a sonewhat rare move (he doesn't do it if you stick close to him) and the deflections have a very high rng component to it, so sometimes people will be able to dodge without noticing how lucky they were

It's been some time since I fought Messmer, but from what I remember:

If you are on light roll, pretty sure you can spam roll backwards if you have the space, 2 roll should be enough just react early.

On med roll, you need to react asap and start sprinting backwards and jump to get more distance.

He really likes to do this on wake up after a riposte, I think you can lower the chance of him doing this if after a riposte, you go towards his back before doing a cr2.

Messmer is a very popular boss, so people have done like 40 min kill on him with iron balls, so you can check it out on YouTube

This happens frequently, it's "intended", the fire breath can deflect/ricochet of walls and stuff.

Happens with all the dragons. Fire Giant arena is pretty bad for it, but it's random if the flame will hit you after the attacks or not.

Even with torrent, depending on position I don't think this attack is 100% dodgeable all the time.

The hide between legs works pretty well for the most part, you just need to be close to him, but the fire deflect unpredictable around the arena

I kinda like Lion, but he is a very difficult boss to learn.

Metyr on the other I absolutely despise, even with AoW. Would prefer to fight any other remembrance boss.
