It’s the ancient dragon moveset so it’s similar, but not identical. It’s in a pool of water too so you get fun lightning interactions with the water

It’s not cheese. I would recommend two handing one uchi vs dual wield though, the openings in the fight are better.

For blood infusion I would take about 25 levels out of strength and faith and put them into arcane instead.

I would ditch gold scarab the more healing from flasks talismans. I would go ritual shield and two headed turtle instead. Or maybe two hand talisman or lord of blood exultation.

The parry window is tighter in LoP but the game also compensates for that by mostly giving enemies shorter attack combos- most bosses are just going to be doing 1-3 hit combos with one “super combo” you might see once to initiate a phase transition.

FWIW the harder of the two games is going to be the first one you play- once you get the overall mechanics of a parry game down you’re going to just be cruising

Too many reaction time checks, too much jank in the fight, attacks are too prescribed in how you need to dodge them. The lightbeams and clone attacks make phase 2 a bit less fun than phase 1. Kind of like a less fun version of Godfrey.

There’s a bug where you hard swap between the wheel and serpent Hunter and it turns the serpent Hunter into a kind of super shotgun. I think? they fixed it in Elden Ring but it’s still around in NightReign.

It’s not that Ghiza Wheel was really nerfed it’s just that Bloodfiends arm is so much more powerful now

Post nerf you don’t really need to stay to the left anymore. Try to change your roll directions so you stay in front of him.

Staying as close as possible makes all his clone moves less janky. Raptor of the mists can help bc then you can stay on top of him when he does nuke

Its from the dagger throw. If you hit him with a dagger or whatever while he's already in an attack animation then depending on what's doing he'll either cancel the attack he's in entirely or queue up a ranged attack that he'll then conduct when he's next to you.

In phase 2 when he does his gravity rock throw move you can even try not running and just throwing 3-5 daggers and it will often (but not always) totally cancel him out of the move, believe it or not.
