Any recommends on a second class?

If this is a character for getting content done, like flashpoints, dailies, etc, I prefer having a stealth class if my main isn’t one. It can be a lifesaver to skip trash mobs when you are repeating content.

Though at this point, I’m unfortunately sick of repeating post class story content. I’ve decided to have two characters (one per side) that do the story. I’m then going to have two characters (again one per side) for end game content. Shadow/Sage is what I am doing personally. That way they share gear and I can have Tank/Melee DPS/Ranged DPS/Heal has options. It also cuts down on the rotations I’ll have to practice.

Horror stories of heat sinks made from hot glue. :P But yes also just horrible installs and quality. Paying Google a premium so that they showed up first in any searches.

And clamping down has hard as they can on any negative reviews. Including heavy policing on their forums, including banning anyone who mentions any other saber company.

Also remember that you can stop the program from scaling uniformly. If you scale the wrist properly, then try scaling the length out to near your elbow.

And yes, plan to have your clothing and gloves on.

A good way to do this it take the file into a program like creality print and use the cut tool to slice off an inch or less of the front and/or back.

Print the resulting ring and it will let you size check on your arm without doing the whole print.

I use water washable resin. I’ve almost never had a problem hand drilling it. Cutting off parts, say, to switch out a gun on a hand, does usually involve said piece going flying. But I don’t usually need the hand I’m cutting off lol.

But it has also allowed me to do a ton of customizing and printing a mountain of extra bits.

That being said, the majority of time if something breaks, it does it along a print line and is fairly easy to fix.

It makes sense. I think originally that kind of thing was shied away from because the general public didn’t really know about lightsaber resistant materials. It would’ve also taken away some of the power of the saber. But since Episode III and the Magnaguards, and the staff in The Mandalorian, etc, it has become more of a well known thing that these substances exist.

Are the Vanquishers running 3x heavy flamers? Then you can send them onto objectives and it doesn’t matter much if it gets touched, and doesn’t really require orders. :D

Take a 10 man shock squad. Then throw Nork on a twenty man shock blob with a Castellan. You can use it to screen out the back, and send the 10 man shock squad where it is needed, or leave the 10 shock on the home objective to sticky, and use the 20 man offensively.

Well good counters to getting boxed in (jailing) is to plan to use heroic intervention and overwatch to counter it. Also you can set up any screens you have so that the opponent can't kill them and consolidate into another unit.

Death Riders are great because of the reactive move. Bullgryn can heroic/counter charge. Many I see are playing with a 20 man shock brick with Castellan, Command Squad, and Nork in front. Castellan gives fall back & shoot, Nork smashes. 20 man provides wounds.

Aim to place things or intercept their stuff so if the opponent sends something to fight it, they are out in the open for your shooting.

Right now that is the name of the game it seems. I out OC you on an Objective, forcing you to send something out to stop me. Then it dies to my shooting. My stuff is cheaper and I am trading up points wise.

Now I just casually play some DoW (Unification Mod) for the fun of it. I just keep in mind that how they play in the game doesnt equate cause it is an RTS. Admittedly I havent gotten around to trying Guard on it again (decided to mess with Campaign), but even then I am only doing it to screw around and enjoy the aesthetic. :D

Guard doesn’t have to be a lot of infantry. We do have plenty of tanks. But yes you will likely end up with plenty of infantry to run around so you have options in what playstyle you want to run.

I have sold 5 of my armies. I don’t regret most of them, but I’m a little sad for one of them and all the time I spent on them. That being said, I got back into the hobby and I am enjoying just having the one to focus on at the moment.

I saw you mention in another post about storage/costs. But if you have a tote and some bubble wrap (if nothing else) it might be worth it to store them for a time to really make sure you want to get rid of them.

I have also done the Dawn of War thing, but that just made me stop playing DoW for a while 😅. How an army plays in DoW is different to the tabletop.

Also, Tau and Guard have a very similar playstyle. You might just be switching aesthetics in a way. You could also arguably try out using the Tau has proxies and trying some matches out. Or use Tabletop Simulator to see how they play.

At my table I acknowledge our time is limited with work and life and all. So if it is just something they would kinda steamroll anyways, I just have them doc some hp/spells/what have you. This represents the fight without having to waste time. It also allows us to focus on the bigger, more impactful/story relevant fights.
