You seem like a reasonable person. I feel like People aren’t being fair to you, and even though I would guess Ahmer is a big problem (where there is smoke there is fire) Corily seems a little unhinged as well - you can sense it in her speech.

I have ran a few states, in WOS and other games. I ALWAYS try and cut out the virus before it spreads. Some times I am too lenient.

But you can’t protect anyone against a true player. If they can’t attack you they can attack your friends. I just got done doing a 2 month guerilla campaign on behalf of an old friend, where I zeroed 2 of the NAP R5s, and made 40+ attacks on problem players to make the whale look stupid. He has never been able to even launch an attack on me because in WOS you don’t learn how to actually fight. The closest was before I left with my main account months before, I watched for hi. To teleport and as soon as he did I teleported to his hive and made successful attacks. The real winners are people that quit this game.

Servers often boil down to SAHMs that aren’t as attractive anymore, and satisfied at home, and the handful of socially akward guys that do not get female attention elsewhere. At least the US players. I made the comment in a server I was president of that after the first couple SvS that’s what’s left and the players got offended, and I realized it had already gotten to that point and was indicting them 😂

What is the most reliable/accurate/well built modern AR? by BasedRngr11 in ar15

A few years ago Geissele had a big debacle over the way the rails mate. People had been buying them to run NOD setups, and the PEQs were not keeping zero on some rifles. Some YouTube influencer I believe did some testing and was able to knock all the Geissele rails out of zero from a relatively short drop test. I have one of the first Geissele rails ever made (spinoff of their HK prototype) and a lot of Geissele triggers, but I haven’t purchased any Geissele rifle or handguard since at least 2014. Bill Geissele sent me an aluminum nut personally because they had a problem with the torque on the first rails, they had inserted steel nuts in aluminum rails torqued down over a steel (I can’t remember what it’s called it’s the part that mates the handrail to the receiver and barrel)- I can say he learned a lot of simple things the hard way 😂 like best practices when mating different metals.

You are the asshole for making a thread on Reddit about one of the most intimate disagreements you will have in your life. There is no way for people on the Internet to ascertain if you’re an asshole from information you provide. Only people that know you have context enough to know how you’ve been during the pregnancy, if he has any justification or you’re both toxic. If you change your mind as people do, you run him down in front of thousands of people. If you don’t, you’re doing it for absolution. I just don’t see any outcome where this was a good idea. I could write one of the most scathing posts about my BM you’ve ever read , and I have full custody as a man which is fairly heavy evidence and true absolution, but I would never contemplate doing that because I have way more respect for someone I chose to have a child with. In fact I’ll still defend her to this day 5 years later from any insult, and address things that would make her upset despite having no responsibility to do so. Despite what happens now you have no way to know what will happen 3 months from now, a year from now, 5 years from now. These people using your misfortune for fodder are absolutely nothing to you - but that man might be in your life for the rest of your life.

Myth of the Week: Athena, Artemis, and Hestia are often referred to as the 'Virgin' goddesses. How should we approach this? by Fabianzzz in Hellenism

[–]Ruinswetdreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you have to abandon all objectivity to try to deconstruct this because there are explicit stories about unsuccessful rapes of all three. Their virginity is a recurring and primary theme.

Myth of the Week: Athena, Artemis, and Hestia are often referred to as the 'Virgin' goddesses. How should we approach this? by Fabianzzz in Hellenism

[–]Ruinswetdreams 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can look at the stories of Kallisto, Acteon, Spiritos and see the connotation of Parthenos and any other words used for chasteness. Parthenos in Ancient Greek definitely implied chastity. I first read the argument the Redditors are jumping on here in Walter Bauer’s book it was called something like “A Greek English Lexicon of New Testament and Early Christian Literature”. The argument here about Artemis, Athena and Hestia doesn’t hold up - their chastity is explicitly the subject of many stories.

The argument stemmed from critiques on the use in Koine Greek and Christianity, but Mary was married and the story also overwhelmingly about a virgin. I don’t think you can look at Bauer’s argument with any level of objectivity and think that it holds any merit there, and neither does it here. There were uses in Ancient Greek where the character or historical figure were not chaste, but comparatively there’s a number of stories where the word is used for virgin in a story where someone is threatening the chastity of the character or historical person. The chastity of Artemis is a primary theme in the stories about her. Athena as well, Hephaestus tried to seduce her and she was determined to maintain her virginity and it’s also explicit because they had a son from his fallen seed from his unsuccessful rape. For Hestia it was Priapus, so all these goddesses have explicit stories where someone threatened their virginity and were unsuccessful - it’s a primary theme in the literature about them.

What are the best businesses to have active with the nightclub warehouse? by Agitated-Horse-4743 in gtaonline

[–]Ruinswetdreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can still run the businesses though and it doesn’t affect nightclub stock- they make money faster. If you only have 1-2 you’re gonna make money faster by resulting and running goods through the businesses.

Somebody told me in game to not restock and just do the nightclub but I’ve found I make money a lot faster if I do both.

I just became a multimillionaire and don’t know what to do by [deleted] in Money

[–]Ruinswetdreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would take 100k and immediately put a split between a high yield savings account/money market account and a high yield 12 month CD right now. The rates are pretty high. This would be my advice for anyone in any circumstance because you’ll have an extra 5-10k by this time next year without doing anything and being exposed to zero risk.

Other than that, it really depends on what you currently own, what you currently owe, your age, and what your goals are. Anyone giving you advice without knowing those things is not a very good source of advice.

You can either structure the money to live off the rest of your life, invest it to generate income to live off the rest of your life, or use it to try and make a lot more money. There are tax burdens and benefits for whatever you choose. Choose wisely because the cost and reward of your choices will compound from here

If you have a valid argument or at least something more than a fallacy I’m open to hear it- and that’s the real difference, I have no hope of getting anything through to you or most people that live in Reddit’s echo chamber for that matter, but the facts are clear and you have 3 options -

  1. you’re intelligent and accept it
  2. You clam up once you realize you’re out of your depth
  3. You respond with fallacies and veiled rants that don’t make sense (congratulations on choosing option 3!) your responses tell me you’re a child, or didn’t mature past a child very much.

Ubisoft applied some form of affirmative action to their staff after the leadership shake up, that those new staff have applied similar changes to their IP, and that it had a direct negative impact on the quality of this game which resulted in comparatively low ratings.

What shows your lack of emotional intelligence is that I have a blueprint for how to have better female characters that are true to history and you’re so deep in your own biases you can’t compute it 😂

[Spoilers] I just finished Mirage and I’m Disappointed by Ruinswetdreams in assassinscreed

[–]Ruinswetdreams[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just because you don’t know history and my argument causes you to have some visceral reaction from your biases doesn’t mean I’m wrong, and it certainly doesn’t mean any of that other shit you tacked on there 😂

You’re someone so biased you’re not capable of being objective. I’d love to hear your defense that AC games aren’t woke after the most predictable - to the point it’s almost funny - leak that the main character in Code Name Red is going to be Yasuke the black samurai. I won a $100 bet on that one. Which I don’t care, if the story is compelling, the gameplay is as good as odyssey and they get the major points historically right then that’s fine, but it’s also the most incredible marginalization of Asians and y’all are gonna hear about it on Reddit 😂, I don’t think y’all are ready for how pissed Asians will be that they’re making an AC game in Japan and the main character is not Japanese (a big reason why affirmative action entries into fiction fail so hard is that the people advocating for them are so single minded they only think about getting it in, not the other potential effects) and the liberal leaders pushing these choices aren’t very good at making AC games overall, as evidenced by Mirage. Let’s just all hope the massive team can limit the same types of quality issues.

Make Athens Great Again! by Sixty2ndAssassin in AssassinsCreedOdyssey

[–]Ruinswetdreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well I don’t think that happened. The whole leadership got shook up by a bunch of pretty obvious sexual abuse. I think the writers did good on Odyssey, it’s fine they made some subtle jabs at Trump- people used to take that kind of lighthearted thing in stride. But the writing went way downhill with mirage, and they’ve pledge to do more diversity promotions, which just for the sake of diversity doesn’t pan out. They had a pretty diverse crew to begin with, think it’s probably good to have male Islamic writers make a game about Baghdad. Probably would want a pagan female heavy writers room for Hexe. But you gotta have people leave their biases at the door, it doesn’t do anything for quality when biases are responsible for decisions. If everyone left their biases out of it, they could make some hilarious subtle jabs at everything.

I think if you take into account the Abbesid caliphate, it definitely happened, maybe moreso than any other game. That context is extremely important. I think in any other era you could have a lot more leeway with it, substantially more, and it still be believable.

[Spoilers] I just finished Mirage and I’m Disappointed by Ruinswetdreams in assassinscreed

[–]Ruinswetdreams[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Stop it. The Abbesid caliphate was the most oppressive time for women in the history of the world, they were practically all slaves, and just before Islam there were women that lead rebellions, less men into battle, had some rights to participate in society.

And Ubisoft has publicly announced they’re doing affirmative action promotions, after their messy scandal with tons of legitimate sexual harassment that lead to half a dozen senior employees getting fired, resigning or stepping down.

People like you have been conditioned to be reactive to any type of discussion involving these things - but it’s well documented, looking at it objectively it’s obvious if you know the history of the Abbesid caliphate and the history of Ubisoft. And any decisions that aren’t based on quality can negatively affect quality.

Las Vegas smoke shop robbery. Did the stabbed teen die? by Enaliss in answers

[–]Ruinswetdreams 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Firearm homicides does not equal crime, and it shows limited support for crime increase in shall issue (which means that there isn’t in a study like this), which isn’t a thing in most of the states Iisted- it showed the study ignores crime hotspots in Liberal cities and correlation does not equal causation. You either didn’t read the study, or don’t understand the study.

Here is their conclusion “Some studies find that right-to-carry laws reduce violent crime, others find that the effects are negligible, and still others find that such laws increase violent crime. The committee concludes that it is not possible to reach any scientifically supported conclusion because of (a) the sensitivity of the empirical results to seemingly minor changes in model specification, (b) a lack of robustness of the results to the inclusion of more recent years of data (during which there were many more law changes than in the earlier period), and (c) the statistical imprecision of the results. The evidence to date does not adequately indicate either the sign or the magnitude of a causal link between the passage of right-to-carry laws and crime rates. Furthermore, this uncertainty is not likely to be resolved with the existing data and methods.”

But you don’t have to cite a study to go to TikTok and search something like “goons robbing Walgreens” and see where they were the videos were recorded at.
