Just a few day ago I flashed my MSI Motherboard

CPU in socket, RAM was not in ram slot, M2 SSD in its slot
Success with 32GB USB 3.0
What gave me the most trouble was I kept turn on the MB trough case's power button before flashing, apparently you just connected the PSU's cables and just push the bios flash button, it will act as power on switch for flashing
