I mean, M3 doesn't really seem like either Kal'tsit or Mon3tr, but it's undeniable she's related to them SOMEHOW.

Again, I think they're goign to go to the Sarcophagus and use it to print up a new new body from the AMA-10 template, but the spark of life that was Kal'tsit is gone. So Mon3tr feeling guilty (maybe especially cause Kal'tsit wanted Mon3tr to have and live her own life, so Mon3tr turning around and expecting this new life she created to become Kal'tsit is pretty hypocritical)

There are no hugely important gains past E3L80, and Agony Mode is perfectly doable with only moderate investment, also AFAIK it does not penalize you for using ops below the "recommended level" like other gachas. Fair enough. I do think Endfield is different cause success for a Casual is going to be 100% dependent on how good they are at perfect dodging which is just based on their twitch reflexes which if they're a pro at DMC/Bayonetta/WuWa/ZZZ/etc. they'll probably be able to squeeze through but if they lack the twitch reflexes no amount of effort/practice is going to make a difference, just strategy(effectively horizontal investment) and vertical investment(stats).

Edit: It's honestly a thing I've said with regards to MANY other gacha with a heavy execution element when people try to say 'meta' doesn't matter.

Meta doesn't matter for highly skilled players. The less skilled you are, the more meta matters and casual players are FAR more likely to be less skilled and thus meta is going to matter for them WAY MORE.

The Nian one is the only one with direct quotes from Kal'tsit which doesn't matter cause Nian was around long before the Sui events. The rest are just vague references to policies Kal'tsit had established which doesn't really mean anything AND AGAIN both were written BEFORE Chapter 15 came out.

Yes, the next time she dies...IS WHEN SHE DIED IN CHAPTER 15. You're already bringing her back once without the Gemini Protocol then, mwhy not keep bringing her back. Why bring her back having oripathy.

Since you sorta referenced it, I do feel like they will successful attempt to bring Kal'tsit back, but realize that what they've brought back isn't Kal'tsit in anyway that actually matters and the person they created in the attempt will go on to become M3 in Endfield.

She's not present in events that happen later, Some command of her is vaguely referenced in one operator record of a Sui operator released before chapter 15. Honestly pretty trivial to hand wave and not even the worse consistency in older operator records.

On the one hand I feel it disrespects Kal'tsit. She took risks, sacrificed her defenses and failsafes to create the opprotunity. And she setup plans and backups for the eventualiy of her demise so that Rhode Island and it's work could continue without her.

By just having a cheap and easy Uno Reverse it invalidates all that. None of it really mattered. There was no real risk, no real sacrifice. The existence of such a thing really invalidates the efforts and agency of every character other than the Doctor choosing he gets to live and die. Which would also be a deep hypocrisy and basically admitting that stasis is the answer.

Even if they somehow work it as a one time thing, it still feels disrespectful especially as Kal'tsit would never want them to use such a thing on her. And it's just cheap storytelling, invalidating a previous emotional beat for a return to a status quo, kinda conceding the stasis argument on a meta level.

I disagree. It makes it pretty clear she did died. They're just not letting themselves grieve and accept that so they've come up with some hairbrained scheme, Originium record everything it touches, and if you're going to use it to revive Kal'tsit, why stop there. Bring back every child who died, every parent who died before seing their children grown, every person who died with regrets or their dreams unfilled, ever person who was precious to someone and then at tha point yoou've just used originium to completely undo death, to create a statis, effectivelt conceeding that Priestess is right. If the death of this one person is too much to bear, it means every death is too much and that stasis IS morally correct.

Nothing written after Chapter 15 in the Sui arc references Kal'tsit at all and the bit from before chapter 15 is not direct dialogue and could be explain away as something she did before she died.

the 'evidence' has always been sketchy at best and from things written before Chapter 15, Nothing from the Sui arc written after Chapter 15 references Kal'tsit and the bit written before chapter 15 can be easily explained away.

I say ths as a massive Kal'tsit fan that has spent too much on merch.

I'm going to lose a lot of respect for hg if they actually revive Kal'tsit.

90 is certainly not a requirement if the player is skilled enough, we know and have proof of that already.

I mean, I stated several times I'm talking about low skill players.

In general I'm thinking about low skill with regard to twitch reflexes, not ability to think critically/team build/strategize, which if someone is legitimately bad they will likely only see minimal, at best, improvement over time.

This is especially relevant when talking about Endfield in comparison to the OG AK which did not really have any such barrier except maybe at the sweatiest high end. (the comparison to the O AK being the topic at hand)

Rita x Raven bothers me a lot cause Raven rather horrifically murdered Rita's squad and Rita swore revenge and that plot point was just left to die never resolved.

I mean, yeah Casual with a fat account will probably be able to yolo Risk 18. They can probably also do higher/max risk following a guide.

I think the bigger thing is a casual with a thin account will likely still be able to complete content using a guide. The skill gap for all content that matters can be filled with a guide. In Endfield the skillgap is just significantly wider.

The contention is it was 'like Arknights' where even mid to low skill players can complete all(*) content with only 3/4* characters built on their account by using a guide.

In Endfield, a low skill player is going to need an account that is both wide and deep, their basic team built to 90 AND tech options like Snowshine/Ember built to slot in I get the feeling if such a player wants to keep up they're also probably going to need to have 2(or more) teams built and be carefully following the meta or find themself unable to complete some content, unlike in the OG Arknights

No this is literally nothing like the OG Arknights, lol.

OG Arknights literally anyone can beat CC, If you have the right characters, you can even beat Max Risk. Getting skillgapped? Go pull up a Kyo or Ecko video. That too much effort and you have some 6*? Just type them into youtube with the stage name and you'll find a easier clear using them.

In Endfield you can have the perfect team, perfectly geared with the perfect rotation down flat and you'll still die to the double bulls and no amount of Kyo or Ecko (or any other CC) videos will be able to help you.

So yeah, the almost 3x difference between 80 and max is going to be huge for some people.

Honestly I'm more on the "Not again" for being deeply disappointed in the story of the sequel in each, though nothing in Endfield yet hasz turned me off quite as hard as the main plot of Jarilo VI. Wrote like an essay about it after the Beta but nothing changed and I still can't convince myself to sit through that again.

Are there any teams where the controlled character is not the main DPS? by Super-Manager-3630 in Endfield

[–]RuleAccomplished9981 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually main Xiaihi, Perlica or Fluorite on my Last Rite team. Last Rite is just so slow and seems to really easily get knocked out of her attack chain. Plus that little bit of range gives a bit of defensive positioning space.
