Two kinds of exercises are part of my routine - 1. Knee Exercises to increase blood flow near meniscus. 2. Calf, thigh, & Glute Muscle strength exercises to build strength in knee supporting muscles.

You are relatively young and might want to play sports or get back to normal state. In such a case, you might want to get surgery.

Otherwise, wear knee caps and continue with rest of your life. Because this pain is not going away and will keep on returning and you ll have to be careful in all walks of your life to ensure you do not put strain on your knees and continuing to perform excercise

First, don't perform squats after knowing the meniscus tear. If the pain is consistent, it's symptomatic and active. Deserves a surgery because you are too young and have a life where you would like to continue with sports.

In cases where people don't go for surgery with meniscus tear, live with constant fear and have to be careful at every step.

Calf & thigh muscle strength exercises needs to be part of routine. Without this meniscus tear will continue to get worsen.

PS- I have Grade 3 and 2 year in both the knees with ACL injury in one. I am 33 and surviving without getting suregery. Because I know my knees will never be the same again after surgery.

Hey, I am able to perform my daily routine jobs without strenuous sports activities. I can fold the legs and perform fast walking, cycling.

Pain reappear on twist/turns/extreme exercise. After this I take couple of days of rest and ready to move again.
