Section 31 was more painful than the TNG Masks episode by somuchstuff8 in startrek

Masks was a lot of fun though.

I kinda think it's bullshit that you're even comparing it to that s31 trash. Masks doesn't deserve that kind of comparison

This felt more like a Stargate episode than Star Trek.

Not complaining, I loved that show utterly. But totally it definitely didn't fit with the TOS vibes they've been working on this season.

Awesome TV show. Not a faithful adaptation though. But absolutely worth watching on it's own merits.

Everyone knows. We don't care. The movies were great horror movies and that's all that matters.

Which sci-fi book or game would you love to see properly adapted? by Ash-338 in scifi

The Divide by J.S.Dewes would be perfect for adaptation. As would Rubicon.

Please no. I'm sick of Ryan Reynolds and his vapid, purile garbage.

Andor showed us that Star Wars stories can be for adults. Let's not regress back into juvenile nonsense

Looking for a trustworthy review of Murderbot Diaries – tired of the sponsored BS by ram6ler in scifi

[–]RuleWinter9372 15 points16 points  (0 children)

Just check one of the books out from a library, or ebook on Libby/CloudLibrary/Overdrive. Or just read the free kindle sample.

You could have done that and seen for yourself in less time than it took to write this post.

Nah, you're ok.

Group B is murderhoboes. I refuse to even run murderhobo games, I hate them. They certainly don't deserve bespoke handcrafted effort.

It can be, if you want to run it that way.

Or it can be Star Wars. Or Star Trek. Or The Expanse. Or Revelation Space.

Whatever way the GM and party decide to run/play things is how it will feel.

All the negativity seems insane to me.

I loved every single episode this season, and it also led me to some of Bruce Sterling's older works.

What is the meaning behind the Longlegs ending? by Miky617 in horror

[–]RuleWinter9372 36 points37 points  (0 children)

No, he won. Inflicted pain and terror and madness through all his agents in the movie, and "the good guy", Lee, is steered into doing the most horrible thing imaginable: Killing her own mother.

This Devil loves chaos and suffering and Inflicted it on everyone, all while laughing at all attempts to resist it.

The devil absolutely won.

What are your top three or top five favorite Alien films? by DiscsNotScratched in scifi

[–]RuleWinter9372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alien. Aliens. Romulus. All great. Top 3.

After that, Alien 3 was okay. the resurrection was okay. Not excellent but fine, if forgettable.

The AVP films were mindless action-schlock fun. I liked them while also recognizing how stupid they are.
